Mossy growth is a Lichen.

The whole tree.

Looks a lot like Ash to me, but I'm known to be wrong.... rather often, LOL :)

The tree resemble Sapindus saponaria(Soapberry).

The leaves do resemble Ash in some of the images. But coupled with the berries, it looks very much like the soapberry. I'll keep an eye on the berries as they mature. I would be thrilled if it was soapberry tree. Thank you.

It could be a Chinese Pistache.

BTW the lichen is totally harmless.

It does resemble Chinese Pistache, but the fall colors and the colors of the berries are wrong. Soapberry is still the best possibility. It have read that lichen doesn't feed off the trees, but I've had trees it grew on get weaker and lose much of their leaves over time. And I've had them improve , when I've scrubbed off the lichen and removed as much of of the affected wood as possible. But that is only possible on the small trees.
