Thank you, Scott. I'd be happy to combine the school library with the public library! Our community is fairly small, so that makes very good sense.

I would like to be a juror when threads go haywire. My dream is to be on a jury. The closest I got was participating in a mock jury which was even better. I got paid $200 for the day. They supplied breakfast, lunch ( Panera) and snacks. The guy next to me fell asleep during testimony and was dismissed. I found The Whole process very interesting.

Y'all are not giving yourselves important enough titles. Hounds can be the director of museums and head of historical Furnishings for government buildings. Aunt Audrey sounds eminently qualified for head of the ethics Department. B Fenton can head up the Library of Congress and be in charge of coffee Imports. Yaya girl lead the national foundation for art in education. Etc.

I nominate Rusty to be a human encyclopedia. She can answer quizzes like no one can.

I would love to be Country Club and Golf manager.........I haven't been following this thread because I'm in Myrtle Beach on a golf outing with some lady friends! :-))) So far the weather has been good. My friends went shopping today. I opted to stay put and ice a swollen ankle and bad knee so I can golf tomorrow!

I don't think we have a designated Printer or a Graphics Designer yet. I am beaming-in the creative muses! My business card will be of standard size, high quality card stock, with worm holes (actual punch-outs) with illustrations of happy worms weaving through the holes. Thinking on contact information...hypothetical email, etc....

I want to see and embroidery. May need that someday.

I was going to say that “seeing” is the sort of thing for an optometrist, and visiting one of those would help if you want to do embroidery (I’d be stabbing myself constantly with the needle if I tried to embroider with poor eyesight!)

As Laundry Assistant, I propose a clothesline in every yard and that our flag be made of a crisp kitchen towel with our shield displaying a perfectly restored shabby-chic table and chairs, a vase of beautiful flowers, a hand stitched tablecloth, fresh bread and wine. Dogs and cats nap below.

I appreciate Satine's nomination for me to be the quilter. I think missmaggierock would be an excellent co-quilter! I also do embroidery (hand and machine), so we'll get along fine. I also hope the pink bird (FlamingO) will join the quilt circle!! She's also an expert at arts and crafts.

Is someone in charge of fiber? We need someone to spin and hand dye yarns.

We still need an Agricultural Commissioner, don't we? And a Land Commissioner? We've got to have fresh fruits and vegetables! Also, fresh meat and poultry, and seafood, so we need farmers and ranchers, fisheries, etc. Our AC and LC would oversee all of that, right? And I can't think of the proper name for it right now, but someone to see that the cereals, grains, canned & frozen foods we import come from reliable sources and are safe and healthy. Oh, and a modern, up to date, state of the art grocery store, which will need someone to manage it.

Rusty, I will sacrifice myself and take on the monumental task of ensuring that all chocolate supplies coming into our country are safe and up to par. No no......I INSIST. I will do it because i love you all so much,i couldn't bear to see you burdened with inferior chocolate. As far as fruit and veg? Y'all are on your own. Im sure its fine. ;)

I can help with the vegetable garden! Especially the tomatoes, peppers, cukes, squash, and things like that. With our horticulturists like rhizo, gardenergal and blfenton and others who grow, hope we have it covered.

I cant remember if it’s been mentioned already, but Annie is an excellent seamstress.

I might be able to head up MDIUPOW -- the Many Disparate Interests Unfinished Projects and Overflowing Workspace department.

Not sure I'd be able to follow though. I only pop in about once a week and reply after a thread has "matured."
