I am so sorry to hear this. She was a long time member here. (Brenda Shelton)

I don't want to get this wrong but is she the KT member that passed? If I am wrong please let me know ASAP. I just heard about it on the Facebook page. Please let me know of any details/dates you have.

Yes, that's her!

The reason I remember is not long after I joined, I was very new, Brenda wrote to me to ask me if I would send her some Preparation H. Apparently you can't buy it there, and it makes a nice face cream!

I sure remember Gracie, her adorable little dog. RIP Country! :-(

Wow! Sure a lot of people showed up for roll call. Good thing I decided to come back to visit after being absent for a few weeks. Please add me to your (ever-growing) list. Using the tv weathermen's lingo, I'm from SoCal. Thanks Minnie for undertaking this huge task. Kat

I've learned something new today about the Christmas Cactus. I will keep that in mind. Oh, you asked about the Lilac Vapor paint. It is (gasp!) a Dutch Boy paint. I know this is not a brand that is touted too much on other forums, but I've had very good luck with it. It's not too expensive; it goes on so smoothly, and in my experience, it wears like iron. I have never had a problem with washing it, either. What more could you want from a paint? I have it mixed at Menard's (a northern chain similar to Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.) in their "Dimensions" base in a satin finish. I may have used egg shell on the AF Base. The label says the base is "Designer White, DB 676-03 The colorant is OZ 48, E PH Blue 9, and V Magenta 12. I can take a photo of the label if you like. It also says DC024 Lilac Vapor (Old). The formula must have changed slightly since 2004. I had the old 2004 chip when I ordered new paint in 2008. I looked at one of the new "Lilac Vapor" chips and saw the numbers were different, so he used my old chip to mix the paint. I love it. I used Benjamin Moore's "Cotton Balls" for the white trim in that room. It's not a bad paint; but it didn't go on, wear, or wash any better than the Dutch Boy.

Jodi, interesting that you mention the T-shirts. Correct me if I am wrong, please. When Spike first started the KT, there was no charge. Later, in order for him to be able to "pay the bills" which were getting higher all the time, he started the $15 fee. Then T-shirts were offered fo sale to help raise money, but I don't remember the price, because as much as I appreciated the forums, I don't wear any T-Shirts with advertizing logos. I do remember you made the iron ons. About the $15 fee, I could not understand why anyone who could afford a computer, and the cost of the internet provider, could not come up with $15 a year for these great forums, and so I never offered to pay for any one to join. And so Spike sold to iVillage. Although things here have gotten better, still proof that we get what we pay for. Sue

She had a kidney transplant, didn't she? I was so very surprised when, after being away from the KT for a long time, popped back in here for awhile, fairly recently. Or am I mixing her up with someone else? At any rate, I'm sorry to read of CB's passing. She must have been one of the original members.

Apparently she just died this week. I went to Facebook and from what I can tell she died around the 8th or 9th of March. Brenda Shelton

Here's pic of her holding her new granddaughter Dec 2019

We are both from Gadsden, and I met her several times.

I missed a lot being away. I'm guessing the kitchen table they are sitting at now has never ending supply of cheesecake and chocolate. Remember the smiles and laughs they gave us. RIP
