The Kitchen Table

Intro

Hello! I used to frequent the KT way back when I first got online- in '99 or 2000, I believe. I don't know why I stopped coming by here. This is such a great place.

My name is Angie.

I'm a 35 year old sahm from Louisiana.

I homeschool our 4 children (2 teenagers, 1 tween, and a 5 year old). I've been married for 15 years.

I love reading, crochet, embroidery, Facebook, discovering new music on Rhapsody, and playing Shockwave games.

I can't wait to get to know all of you and become a KTer again! :-)

I have this one in a part sun spot and it slipped my mind because, well, it usually slips my mind. Not troublesome but not notable. White Veranda or Cream Flower Circus is much better from Kordes in my yard. It could be the spot, but CFC and WV both are in part sun (as is Rockwall Sesquicentennial) and they bloom much more regularly. Polarstern is better too. Cynthia

You got me with the 7 inch blooms on Big Hearted Lady. If she has other stats that compliment the bloom it should be a winner in the garden.......Ages ago I was on a fruitless search to find Pink Jeans. Someone had told me it was a good pink. It looks like it has some mauve to it pinkness, and I like the form of the flower with the waviness. Hope to hear more about it from you. My 3rd pick is - well, hard to pick. So I'll just say all the rest could be in my garden..........Maryl

I wondered how you came up with Hares in Paradise. I first thought it was whimsical, but then found the mythological and Christian symbolism (though not always positive). Now I see the personal connection. Do you have clump shots of any of these?

Hi Angie! Nice to meet you. I'm also a homeschooling mom (of 3 little ones).

Do you remember what your KT name was years ago? I've been around since 2000, but my memory is short! :)

Hi Angie! I'm new since your previous visits--in Texas on a small farm. Visited Louisiana, and loved every inch of it. When I was a children's librarian, the home-schooled children were the best-behaved and most curious. Enjoyed the kids and their parents.
(I'm so dense it took me a while to figure out "sahm"!)

Welcome back Angie. It sounds like you have your hands full. I'm a pretty patient person but know I could have never home schooled my children so I have great admiration for you.

Angie, I came here around the same time, but stuck it out. LOL

Met lots of really nice people from here, in person. My hat's off to you and all the other home schooling moms. That has to be a pretty big challenge.

I have a grand daughter now, but once apart of time I was a SAHM too.

Welcome to the KT. I posted a link that was started a few months ago and if you read through it you'll get to meet many of the regulars here. Now that you're back you'll have to join in the discussions.

Here is a link that might be useful: Let's get to know each other

Greetings, Angie.

I've been here several years, but can't recall you ... glad you've returned, though.

I hope that you enjoy this place: we mostly have a lot of fun here ... and find some good friends.

Learn a lot of stuff, too.
