Are these new guys gonna be ok in these pots until planting?
Comments (6)I got these from an Ebay supplier.birdsongfarm. They don't have much top growth at all, maybe 6-8inches. They do have a good size clump of plump roots. The seller stated she keeps het clematis topped off to promote root growth. I have been checking them a couple times a day, since I'm on vac for the next 2 weeks and I have been outside every day. If it doesn't rain every few days, I do have to water some of my other pots and will do the same for them. It won't take much to water them every day if I have too. Comments (6)I'll keep it going for a bit to see what happens. but it'll be hard to send out seeds if I never get pods. really what's going on is I've come to realize I have 15 more plants than I can reasonably fit in my yard once they're all in their final pots (which is long overdue), and I'm trying to figure out which ones I'm gonna have to get rid of or find a new location for. the weird ones that don't produce pods are obvious candidates for the dumpster. Josh, unfortunately I couldn't get any to germinate. oh well. can't win them all. I still appreciate the effort....See MoreYou're not gonna believe.......
Comments (26)LOL....thanks, everyone, for sharing my enthusiasm for this great haul! It's been fun sorting through each box, to see what there is. There was so much crammed into each box that it was hard to know what was in there. I do feel so lucky - there is so much glass, and there are so many really good sized pieces. It's gonna be so much fun to start working with it. I ordered the Morton system. NT - thanks so much for the tip of the low prices at yglass!! Now you're responsible for my purchase of the ring saw AND the morton system!! thanks! :) Oh, and I ordered the maxi-grid, too. And I've been reading back through all my "clippings" having to do with using and cutting glass, and everything I've printed out. What else do I need to get off to a good start - running pliers? breaking pliers?...See MoreMy first attempt out of ABB! Oh please just shoot me now!
Comments (49)Kiktx, it is not rude to ask that at all. I will probably change my seating orientation around at some point. But the reason I put it that way for now is that wall behind the couch looks really bad as it is still unfinished. That picture I posted above was actually taken before we added the windows. Those were just screens behind the couch! The original house is single wall construction and the only windows were a couple jalousie type in the bathrooms. That's what they call a 'coffee shack' here. Plus, we always hang out on the lanai whenever we want to enjoy the views. Only time we are inside sitting on the couch is after it's dark anyways. :-) Thanks again everyone for all your help. Once I get the sample tiles, I will ask for advice on which looks the best....See Morerosecanadian
