really ot!! but we have lots of builders in here!!
Comments (50)one year, i got so tired of having stuff up in the attick, so i carried everything in crates to the basement, well, that spring/winter, we had soooo much rain that our basement had flooded, and it flooded so much that it went up to the middle of the height, i never knew this, everyone kept talking about their basements flooding so it got my curiosity up. so i finally went down there, and danged if it didnt. we lost alot of stuff. but you could see the water line so it had sit there quite a while. ohhh man, i was so sad. not only that but man did it stink like sewage. so i knew that we had a leak from upstairs somewhere, OOOPS!! found that tooo!! loose wax, man those people who we bought the house from, i was not very happy about, they did not obviously know how to put the waxy stuff on the toillets!! orrrr...maybe it was my crazy kids playing with the toilette! Hee Hee we've definately learned alot from this old, and boy do i mean OLD house!! LOL i have more than hubs because i am so curious than anything how things work and such!! Granny!! i totally woulda loved to see that pic!! i bet your dh was happy!! **big grinn** Sinfonian, wonder if we could use the stairs though? because it didn't go all the way up there? hmmm......or **being goofy** how about.....put them on a huge slab of styofoam then the thing that will hold them, then if it does rain, it will rise with the water!! **BIG GRINN** ~Medo...See MoreNew Electrolux coming May 2018 - EFLS627S
Comments (6)MiMI our Samsung’s are probably 12 years old and yes we have mold problems but probably Worse than newer FL washers. I’ve steam cleaned inside the areas I can get to many times but it keeps coming back. Our clothes never smell clean. And ive been through three sets of expensive white bath towels over the years, They always look dingy after a year. We got a water softener on the house last year bc we have hard water which may be the reason our towels get grey and rough. So I’m waiting to get new W/D before I buy towels again. Our dishtowels always smell musty I’m constantly throwing them out. We don’t use fabric softener bc I hear it isn’t good for towels. Probably more info than you needed but I HATE our Samsung machines. :)...See More2018 Do you use 'artificial' lights? Why? Can we see pics of them?
Comments (21)I have never used lights, but for a few years now, those of you who do use lights have fascinated me, and often tempted me. And recently, especially starting my seeds, I’ve been hellbent on installing grow lights, either in my eat-in kitchen area or in my garage. Since seeds are merely a springtime 5-7 week activity for me, I couldn’t justify the cost since I only plant what we can cook with and share with friends and neighbors, but providing better and more consistent light to my succulents or cuttings/propagations when not growing seeds sounds enticing. So I know nothing about lights, but this is what I am considering (and it’s probably priced and marketed to someone just like me, haha): https://www.gardeners.com/buy/t5-grow-light-stand-three-shelves/39-357.html It’s a little overkill for me in terms of space if it’s just seedlings, where I’d really only need one shelf, but if it’s for the succulents, OK. I googled separate components first but by the time I have my boyfriend rig it to work in a similar fashion and putting holes in ceilings (and potentially bringing the house down), the cost won’t be all that different if I shoot for three tiers, it seems (or will it?). Besides,I should then be able to dedicate a whole level to microgreens, or temp-sensitive herbs like cilantro, etc. with no consideration for season and outside temperature, no? What I don’t know is whether the lights are strong/good enough for what I’m wanting, and whether, in your opinions, it’s a fair price for what it offers. If not, can you recommend what I should buy? There seem to be purplish disco light-like gadgets, bulb lights, fluorescent lights, etc. and each claim they’re great. Any guidance you can offer would be appreciated!...See More2018 bloom is coming
