Living Room / Dinning Room - I need your help
Comments (16)I think it would be fine to change the sand color to Olive Branch. If it's too much, it might be nice to select a lighter, color and consider making the paneling area above the fireplace this color. I agree the scale of the pictures is too small. I think it would be nice to anchor the dining area with a large painting. The bigger the better to fill some wall space. Right now, the furniture seems to be arbitrarily placed throughout the room so I think you should rethink the floor plan. I would place the sofas on either side of the fireplace. I would move the tv to the small wall and hope that it sits below the wall and doesn't stick out. Right now, it's fighting the natural focal point of the fireplace. Now, the concept of Spanish/ Mediterranean. When you continue this space, think heavy, think furniture. Contrast is important in this style so consider black wrought iron details, perhaps a wrought iron chandelier for over the dining table and some sconces for the living area. It might be nice to consider tapestries for the area. When I suggested a lighter color earlier, it might be appropriate to think a tan or an orangish hue that is found throughout this style....See MoreHelp! Design Dilemma for long narrow living room
Comments (1)If you installed it replacing the window, then you could turn your sectional around to the opposite end of the room and it would work where the tv presently is and have a nice view of the new fireplace. Move your furniture around now and imagine the fireplace there. See if it works....See MoreI need help with my living room Design

In this example a table and chairs are set behind the rear sofa; more chairs augment the main seating group. A [daybed[(https://www.houzz.com/products/daybeds-prbr0-br~t_14210) takes the place of a second sofa, allowing views into the space and making the seating group seem more welcoming. Comments (23)Thanks all again but after being in the space and testing out the layouts your offered, I really do prefer the TV in the corner so I'm trying to decide between one of these 2 corner TV stands: https://www.birchlane.com/living/pdp/pullman-corner-tv-stand-for-tvs-up-to-65-b001030194.html?piid%5B0%5D=1082005253 https://www.birchlane.com/living/pdp/birch-lane-heritage-benedetto-corner-tv-stand-for-tvs-up-to-65-b000771980.html Thoughts? Then I can put an upholstered storage bench underneath the big window and a console/desk behind sofa with chairs for extra seating. And I still want to get a chaise lounge or armchair with ottoman place counter the sofa (empty space in mock up below). *Mock up is not the right colors or styles but just picked based on size to help with figuring out layout...See Moredeegw
