I really like the olive color, it does make your wood color pop. What I am not liking is the other wall color. On my screen it looks pink. I think it would look better if you painted the whole room the olive branch not just one wall.

i agree... i do not like the bermuda sand color... i think the olive branch would look really nice on the other walls. i think the brownish wall when you come in the front door looks fine with the olive branch.

i think your white couches, dining chairs and drapes will all look better with the walls olive branch. there's lots of opportunity to add splashes of color with accessories!

Okay, should I leave the entry way the Bermuda Sand? That wall connects to the hallway that leads upstairs to the bedrooms and it is currently the Bermuda Sand. Any other feedback would be wonderful thank you!

Is Bermuda sand the whitish color over your fireplace? I think it looks okay there, but on the walls it seems slightly pinkish compared to your couch. What I don't care so much for is the purplish wall that you have in the entry.

I LOVE the Olive Branch color you picked, and I'd paint it on the entry wall as well. I think Olive Branch would look much nicer w/the color of the mantle shelves, the purple-tan color you have now seems to clash (to me).

For curtains, if you don't like the current color maybe pull a nice earth tone from your fireplace bricks. Then find some warm, earthy throw pillows for your couch :-)

The entry wall is chocolate, I'm sorry if it appears purple. Do you think painting all of the walls the Olive Branch would be too much green?

You have a very welcoming living/ dining room. I think your furniture is nicely arranged as well. My only suggestion to you is to maybe change the scale of your artwork. You have high ceilings and a tall fireplace, but most of your artwork is smaller in scale. Although I love the art in your dining room, I would go for one larger piece. You could possibly move the mirror that's above the mantle onto the dining room wall. It would be larger than the 2 pictures you have currently hanging there, and a nice way to repeat the trimwork of your fireplace. You could put something more sculptural above the fireplace. Also, I would lower the clock and place it above your console. It's very pretty but looks a little bit like it's floating in no man's land. If I did that, I would even consider hanging a larger clock above the console.

So does everyone think I should paint all of the walls the olive branch? I will keep my eyes out for larger artwork as well.

I agree that the Bermuda Sand clashes with Olive Branch. All Olive Branch would look fine or you could get a similar color that is in the lighter range for the foyer and up the stairs.

I think it would be fine to change the sand color to Olive Branch. If it's too much, it might be nice to select a lighter, color and consider making the paneling area above the fireplace this color.
I agree the scale of the pictures is too small. I think it would be nice to anchor the dining area with a large painting. The bigger the better to fill some wall space.
Right now, the furniture seems to be arbitrarily placed throughout the room so I think you should rethink the floor plan. I would place the sofas on either side of the fireplace. I would move the tv to the small wall and hope that it sits below the wall and doesn't stick out. Right now, it's fighting the natural focal point of the fireplace.
Now, the concept of Spanish/ Mediterranean. When you continue this space, think heavy, think furniture. Contrast is important in this style so consider black wrought iron details, perhaps a wrought iron chandelier for over the dining table and some sconces for the living area. It might be nice to consider tapestries for the area. When I suggested a lighter color earlier, it might be appropriate to think a tan or an orangish hue that is found throughout this style.

We'd like to be able to see the T.V. from the dining room. I know that it is really out of place in this whole set up because it is a sitting room. :( Does the furniture look bad like this? I'm gathering that most of you agree that we paint the light walls the Olive Branch. What about the Brown wall? Leave it or Kilz it and paint it the Olive Branch as well? What about the entry way? I would paint it all olive and get your reds, golds, greens, through accessories and fabric. I think though you might have to stain your table a darker color, as I agree with htnspz, the furniture should be darker, heavier looking for that Spanish/ Mediterranean look. I had a table like yours and sanded it down to the natural wood and stained it walnut, look great. You could also replace the fabric on your chairs with a more spanish type looking fabric.

The pastel flowered pillow really jumps out at me as being out of place. I'd like to see some pillows that bring out your wall colors.
I agree with the others that the space would be improved if everything was painted Olive Branch. Larger scale art work and a more rustic - maybe wrought iron chandelier would look good.

Okay, I will go ahead and paint the rest of the room the olive green. I can easily get new pillow covers. Are the Red ones okay? What other color should I get to replace the flower? I am thinking maybe a yellow? I love the Pottery Barn pillow covers with the buttons. Should I paint the entry way the Olive or leave it as is? I can start looking for new artwork and fixtures. That is easy too. I think I will have to search for a new tv stand as the one it is sitting on was my great grandparents and I would hate to harm it. What else do you guys got?

I would if you can also consider changing your dining furniture. what you have there looks too lightweight for the room and for what you're trying to accomplish. I would try and find a darker table with darker wood and fabric chairs that look more substantial. I think some of the other ideas you've gotten are excellent including moving the sofas perpendicular to the fireplace on either side and getting some larger art. I would also consider the same for your coffee table.

My dinning room table, was a gift from my parents several years ago that I had picked out and had custom made it was a lot of money so I can't switch it out. I may be able to have my husband at some point restain it and I could definitley put new fabric on the seats.
