So much creativity in that show!

You can find some reruns on YouTube - at least some of the more famous sketches such as the GWTW one and the dentist with Tim Conway and Harvey Korman. Also some bloopers where they crack each other up (more than usual) Very fun!

sjerin... i saw her name and started yelling NO NO NO! Just loved her Mrs HWiggins character! when they lost it... they LOST it and rarely got it back!

She's an old GREAT! Wonderful lady!

Scott, I didn't realize that she was still performing. Does she do stand-up, or is it a variety show just like her TV program?

We listened to that book on a trip and enjoyed it. It was fascinating hearing all the inside info.

One thing I like about the audiobook besides the fact that Burnett narrates it, is that she doesn't take herself too seriously and tells funny stories about herself. For example, Cary Grant was a guest at a party that she attended and although she heard that he loved her show, she was terrified to talk to him lest she say something stupid and downgrade his opinion of her. She immediately tried to leave the party, but he caught her at the door. He spoke to her at some length but she was so nervous, she didn't understand a word that he said! Another time, she and her husband Joe Hamilton were in an elevator with the writer John Steinbeck. She was very awed by Steinbeck and they greeted each other. As the elevator door was closing, she realized that she forgot to introduce her husband. She called out, "and this is my husband, George Hamilton!" She said it took until later the next day before he forgave her!

I loved her show. We used to laugh so hard at her and Momma playing Sorry.

I enjoyed that book too. And her show, of course.

I still watch her reruns on METV week nights at 11. After that is Perry Mason.

I thought the same as Sjerin and didn't even open the thread, not wanting to read about yet another great entertainer passing away.

I really enjoyed most of her show. Some of the skits and bits were hilarious. About the only one I didn't really like was with her as Eunice and Vicki Lawrence playing Momma. They rarely show reruns of Carol's show here, at present, but one channel frequently shows reruns of "Momma's Family" and I quickly scan on by.

I remember watching that show as a little girl with my family like it was yesterday. I was still pretty young so much of it went over my head, but my dad who had the best laugh ever would laugh so hard he’d have tears streaming down his face. IMO, Tim Conway was/is a comedian genius. He and Carol Burnett had timing together that was perfection.

Y'all make me smile! Some of my favorite memories of that show are Mama, Tim Conway falling down stairs in slow motion, and Carol Burnett's dresses!
