Comments (2)I agree the entertainment today is generally not agreeable for me, it does not fit me sense of humor. I realize the shows we watched when we were young were often ot appreciated by the old farts of my generation. I used to think funny is funny, it's timeless, but it's not. Some of the real life now seems a satire tome....See MoreDo you watch The Crown?
Comments (8)I’ve been watching it, too. Not sure what to think but Foy did a fantastic job as the younger Elizabeth, but maybe Colman is correct in her portrayal of an older more worn down Elizabeth. How awful to be surrounded by the grey men, telling her how to behave correctly and even what emotions to display. I think Colman is doing a great job of depicting Elizabeth with a foot in the past and one toe in more modern times. Meanwhile, Margaret has jumped in with both feet and is now drowning. The scenes around the tragic coal slide were quite telling. Even stiff old Philip was moved by that tragedy while Elizabeth had to be told how to react. But she is learning, unfortunately not enough (Diana, later on ). Anyway, I am still thoroughly enjoying it....See MoreTrivia: Jane Fonda at Oscars
Comments (44)I didn't see her Oscar appearance although based on the photos I much prefer her 'natural' (LOL) soft blonde color a la Grace and Frankie. I always think her hair looks great on the show, very soft and the tone is perfect for her coloring. I've noticed on this season she is moving stiffly although I think that's a plot point rather than her natural gait. I just love the show and I"m so sad it will end after its next season. It's truly remarkable how great not only Jane Fonda looks but also Lili Tomlin who is only a few years younger. For a couple of 80-year olds they still bring all the charm, talent and beauty one could ever expect from actresses! HBO had an excellent documentary on Jane Fonda last year, and if you find her interesting it is well worth watching....See More- 6 years ago
