Has anyone used software to create a pattern?
Comments (2)I have played around a bit with some of the free online pattern makers (check out knittingfiend's). I can figure out how to use the pattern generator, but I'm not sure that what I end up with is necessarily more useful to me than what I could figure out on my own. I don't know if the types you pay for would give you something more helpful or not. I'd be more likely to find a pattern with a collar that you like and a pattern with the rest of the sweater you like and ask some knitters for advice on splicing them together. I need written instructions (I can't do charts, I can't wing it, I need it spelled out for me) so if I have to meddle with a pattern, I tend to rewrite it before I actually do any knitting. I found a site that sells a pattern for a raglan style cardigan with a shawl collar. But they use a superchunky yarn, so you may need to do adjustment for the gauge of the Cashsoft. I'm linking to the pattern just in case you wanted to check it out. Here is a link that might be useful: cardigan...See MoreHas anyone here used SW Utterly Beige or any other good SW taupe?

Comments (10)Please don't. Laminate HATES moisture. It hates moist heat like the steam given off from dishwashers. In fact, the areas in front of dishwashers is the most reliable place a laminate floor will bubble and peel and fail miserably. If you have VINYL (LVP) - which you state in your title but them speak about laminate in teh body - the steam is an absolute NO NO with vinyl. Vinyl melts with high heat. Almost every vinyl flooring product has a TOP temperature of 85F. That's it. Anything higher and the floor is GOING to warp. Maybe not the first time; not even the second time but certainly it will have issues in the future. So either way, wood based laminate or vinyl LVP/LVT, the steam mot is OUT. Remember: steam is good for tiles, stone, concrete and glass. That's it....See MoreHas anyone used Kraus Sinks?
Comments (13)An offset drain is an advantage, and even moreso if it is offset to the corner the way Badgergal's photo shows. I believe a 16 gauge is an advantage over an 18 gauge, though people disagree with me. I am sensitive to the more tinny sound that an 18 gauge sink will have when a fork drops into it. That is me, others feel differently. I don't have a Kraus sink, but as you have seen yourself, it gets very good reviews, and has been for years on this forum....See MoreSue 430
