Has anyone used the Mont Blanc sink in Desert Sand?
Comments (2)Oh how pretty! Thank you for the picture. I was all set on the Blanco silgranite that looks like a D (I had my heart set on a rectangle sink) but then I found out I can only put the faucet to the side which is not something I want. I have a Victorian style bridge faucet. They do have a smaller sink that will fit but it's only 7.5 inches deep and since we have a small kitchen, small sink cab and only an 18 in DW, I feel the sink will be too small. I did order the HD Mont Blanc single bowl sink in desert sand and I absolutely love it but I worry about how well it will hold up (first) and second I'm not sure about the color sink (I was thinking white for my cottage style even though I couldn't make a farm sink work). Your granite is beautiful and the sink looks great. Thanks for taking the time to post and I'm glad you are so happy with it!...See MoreAnyone have Kraus composite granite sink?
Comments (4)The countertop is quartz. My house was the first residential installation of quartz countertop in Georgia back in 1997 so I think the existing cut under the sink is kind of botched. I'm not sure it can be recut, plus I just don't want to spend anymore money or time on this kitchen than I have to. The plumber told me that it would be easiest to install the same dimension sink as he can't cut the counter so I'd need to find a separate person to do the cutting....See MoreHelp me Choose between two Apron sinks. Kraus vs Ariel.
Comments (7)I hope it's not too late for my opinion. I just came across this post recently when I experienced the same problem. Both seems the same at first. Done a lot of search. Ariel has more selection and models zero radius and smaller round corners. If you want a deeper bowl and deeper apron front, it will be Ariel. Hope this helps!...See MoreHas anyone chosen a white undermount sink?
Comments (16)Pattisue72's and Jhmarie's sinks are just pure eye candy. Love them. I have a stainless steel sink. It's fine. It is a thicker SS gauge which IMHO is important. It is very utilitarian and will last forever. It shows water marks but I can't stress over stuff like that. Stainless steel sinks are likely more in the OP's budget. If s/he decides on stainless steel, I recommend s/he look at the Kraus 16-gauge SS sinks. But I must say that the stainless steel is ho-hum compared to the loveliness pictured above. One of those Kohler sinks will be in my next kitchen I think. In my dim memory I thought someone said that one of the Kohler enameled cast iron sinks has walls that slope inward a lot. That makes the bottom surface much smaller. I.e., you think you have a 33" sink width, but the floor of the sink is much smaller due to the sloped walls. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and if so, which model?...See MoreKathy Spandi
