What Streakers do you have and how do you like them?
Comments (19)I have several streaked hosta seedlings which overwintered in the ground from last year, but got nipped by a rabbit. One h.'Blue Lightning' seedling is promising and just now develops a scape which I want to use with pollen from large blues. Last winter I started in November to grow streaked hosta seedlings from seeds provided by Mr.Hosta of Land of the Giants. Here are those seedlings of h."Blue Lightning', 'Topo Gigio', 'Fickle Blue Genes' and 'Dorothy Benedict'. They are bigger than last year's already. I got last year a freebie 'Powder Keg' from LOTG but that hosta did not survive. I bought this year h.'Justice' at a Hosta Library auction. How do I like them? I do not know yet. The seedlings which will survive my culls will probably have some stabilized divisions, but it will be interesting. I am interested to create a streaked large blue one. Comments (46)We just went from a 27" crt tv to a 42" LCD Emerson (bought at WalMart on Black Friday) for Christmas. We LOVE it. It's not even hooked up to HD, just DirecTV. We've only seen HD on it when I get a blu-ray from NetFlix. We really love the picture. We also got a Sony blu-ray player that can stream NetFlix. We got the 4 Monster HDMI cables (5 feet) on Black Friday for $10.00 each. We also got a Wii, which we also love. The bowling is so much fun. We will probably get a Wii Fit for it, too. When we get back to MN, we will get a 46" Sony Bravia or a 50" Sanyo plasma. Our tv has a refresh rate of 60, it works for us. And it cost $398 on Black Friday. The LED and the plasma have beautiful pictures, but the LED is a jump in price. I think they will drop though, as the stores push 3D more. The LED is noticeably brighter than the LCDs, to me. But they all look wonderful in the big sizes compared to a 20 or 26" CRT tv. Like being at the movies!...See MoreDo you have inside window screens? How do you like them?
Comments (5)I think they would be no more hassle than ones on the outside if I understand the question. Maybe post a pic since I would not like inswing casement windows in most cases. There are retractable screens for casement windows maybe check that out....See MoreDo you have a particular kind of fish you like?
Comments (149)I think if I could have it made as a rice bowl, I’d enjoy it. As mtn said, that is a Poke bowl. Delicious! I thought I didn't like sushi. The thought of eating raw fish made me nervous. I would eat California rolls (I called them fake sushi too!). Especially if I could find them with real crab and not the fake stuff. I never liked philly rolls. Way too much cream cheese. But then we were on a cruise that has a Morimoto popup restaurant once per trip. Everyone raved about the sushi platter so we decided to order it. I mean, why not? It doesn't cost extra and if we don't like it, we'll know for sure we don't like it. OMG, one of the best things I ever had. So I guess I do like sushi and I just try not to think about the dangers of eating raw fish. --- I was practically weaned on bagels and lox. Well really nova because I don't like the salty version, Also, smoked white fish. And sorry but cream cheese is a must. Not a lot, but some. --- I pretty much love all fish. Only things I don't like are mussels, clams, oysters. The weird thing is I hated it when I was younger. My dad did not like fish so we never had it at home (except Jew fish!). Then in my 30s I started trying mild fish and discovered I really like it. When eating out, it is very rare that I order anything other than fish....See More- 8 years ago
