Quinoa

User

I bought a package of quinoa the other day as I'm trying to eat healthy. A thought struck me that I wonder if anyone else has considered and/or put into trial.

You know, quinoa in its natural, un-rinsed, state has a soapy-tasting coating that is said to be there to protect the tiny grain from being eaten by birds and insects before it can be harvested.

Has anyone tried saving this quinoa rinse-water and spraying it on things in the garden, and if so, has it worked as protection from insects?
