Where in PA? If near HB, check out Swartz kitchens for Shiloh. They did well on pricing for the painted cabinets. Lowes and Just Cabinets did almost the same on the Medallion brand , which are Schuler at Lowes. KM was best at the big box for me, due to the sales they often have. The Masterpiece just did not compare in quality to the others and the pricing was about the same. I live in York county and the private dealers I dealt with did not offer the best pricing and were not usually as receptive to my input.

Budget is the number one for me. Next was functionality. For example, I went and looked at all the cabinet lines with their construction so that I could list out what they provide for the bucks. I also took my dishes with me to figure out if they will work with my planned use. For example, Decora was ok but not optimal because the top drawer was useless at 3" height. I might be wrong on the line as it's been a year. I looked at the depths of the upper cabinets to make sure they would fit what I need them to. I was used to 13" deep inside and many lines were o my 10-11". This means they don't fit plates. I didn't ask for quotes until I decided on a particular line. If the looks is all you need then a list of pros and cons for the money is your best bet.

Either would be a good choice for the quality and customer service. Some lines are better at some things than others. So, if you are comparing framed and frameless, you're not comparing like for like. Go back and be sure that you are first of all comparing the specs for the same thing. Then, compare the finishes. Some lines do paint really well. Like Plain and Fancy. Some lines do incredible wood finishes. Like Medallion. Then there are the specialty custom touches that one lines offers that another upcharges for, or will only do as a custom quote. You should also strongly consider which Kitchen Designer that you work best with. Who "got" your ideas immediately? Who has been working longer with which line? Who sells more of their respective product? Who works better with your contractor? Who answers your phone call? This is a Bigger Deal than you think. One who sells a lot of product has more leverage with the company rep if things go sideways. A good designer can make a project run smoothly. A bad one can wreck your timeline and sanity. Overall, you will not be disappointed by either. It's may seem overwhelming to choose, but there is no bad choice here at all. You're at the point of picking nits.

At that midpoint quality level, any choice you make will have good quality. Some manufacturer's excel at Paint, like Plain and Fancy. Some excel at wood finishes with incredible depth like Medallion. Some excel at lower priced modifications that make some choices in semi custom less expensive than full custom. Some excel in molding choices that lend a custom touch. Without having a direct requirement of a look, either would make you a fine kitchen. What has your KD worked with, and which does she prefer? Familiarity with a line, and a good working relationship with the factory also are important factors. Both have good customer service and are responsive to remakes or add ons---within the realm of most kitchen production timelines. No cabinet at this level is going to be dramatically "better" than another. It boils down to what is offered that floats your boat, or the relationship with the dealer.
