CrossVine not Making Progress
Comments (2)I bought some bareroot crossvine plants a couple of years ago. They died quickly. I tried to sprout seeds but failed. This year I bought a small crossvine plant in a pot and after it quickly grew a 5 foot tentacle, I ground-rooted 10 plants from it and am finishing up rooting another 30 from those 10. I then put the Mother plant in the ground in September and it's already got 2 branches that have climbed over 6 foot up Oak poles I'm using to construct a veranda. That plant is a prolific grower but I bought 2 Tangerine Beauty plants just a month after I got the native Crossvine and the Tangerines are just now only reaching about 3 foot high. Some plants are just more vigorous than their brothers....See MoreMaking progress. Egads the fireplace!
Comments (11)Yes, I can scoot the sofa back. I had contemplated moving the clock to the opposite wall. DH will just love me when I tell him I want to move it but I agree with you. The clock is hand-carved by my great uncle and is very sentimental to me. I don't think I will have room behind the sofa for a table. It's floating in the middle of the room. The wall behind the sofa will be floor to ceiling books. (We have a lot of books in this house!) We play to DIY some plumbing pipe bookshelves to be able to support the weight of the books. I had toyed with the idea of putting a "gap" in the bookcase for some lamps and decorating objects but we desperately need the book storage. Any suggestions for pillows? I can also move the bamboo shades to other rooms in the house. We moved in and had a baby all at once and I just put things places. I was thinking something lighter might work better....See MoreMaking progress...
Comments (38)It blew so hard last night and this morning some of my beans were uncovered. They were at least 1/2" deep, now they are 1". I watered well and will go back in a little bit to water again to keep more from blowing off. Corn is good size the wind didnt bother it. I regret planting my tomatoes yesterday but the cans should help. I hope we did the squash and melons right. Benji set up drip lines in rows like a W approx 2 1/2 -3 feet apart and I planted seeds under every dripper which are 16 -24 inches apart. I decided if that was too close I would rip one out....See MoreMaking Progress - Thank you!
Comments (9)Beautiful! Your hard work shows. The clematis and the salvia pictures are amazing. But really, all the plants look so healthy and well cared for. Thanks for sharing. It is an inspiration....See MoreMega Builders
