How to choose cabinet hardware for different color cabinets?
Comments (3)I went through a similar dilemma myself. I have cream cabinets and a black island and had my heart set on ORB hardware. It really looked bad with the black (to my eye anyways) so I went with brushed nickel. I'm really happy with the end result. I think so long as you have some contrast between the ORB and your dark wood it should be fine, but try it out on a sample cab somewhere to see how it would look....See MoreWill paint color look different on different surfaces?
Comments (4)easiest way to know, is to find a can and look at the label. Also be aware, that paint on a wall other than where you sampled it, can look a bit different. Different sheens, will look a bit different....See MorePaint cabinets same/different color in mud/laundry combined
Comments (1)Having the cabinets a different colour is not a problem as long as you're conscious of how the colours in the two rooms interact. The colours should look complimentary to each other and you can create a cohesive flow between rooms by carrying one of the colours into the other room. For example, if you have white cabinets in the laundry and green cabinets in the mud room, it will look more cohesive if you have green accents and accessories in the laundry room. You can see an example here where someone tied in a red wall in another room with red accents throughout the open space....See MorePaint color from two different cans looks different -- update
Comments (9)* In this case, the 2 "Color numbers" are meaningless. There are a bunch of BM Colors in the "Off-Whites Collection" (OC-32, etc....) that are also in the Main-panel on the 6' side of the rack. * Different Color #'s.....same formula. * When I'm using our BM Software, I just pick the # that matches the chip they bring to me! * Regarding the color difference, could be one or more of the Colorants is sliding out of Calibration, or.....a small portion didn't "drop". * Depending on the Tinting-equipment, "Bellows-driven" machines are a teeny bit more prone to fractional shots just not "dropping". * My new (last year!) $20,000 COROB Tinter has 2 "Transmissions", Pumps, Valves, recirculation & return lines, etc. Extremely accurate, but once in a blue moon.....a teensy shot of Colorant is sometimes a "Miss". * So.......on real light colors/small cans, I watch to make sure everything "drops"! Faron...See MoreRegina Work
