Spring Has Finally Come To The Garden!
Comments (10)It is good to see that I am not the only one to suffer from Spring Fever! Here are a few pictures from the garden this morning- Sweet Almond Verbena Old Blush Louisiana Iris Brightside Cream Bridal Wreath Spirea Peaches Blueberries Crepuscule Tausendschon Native Wisteria Bud False Rosemary Cherokee Rose...See MoreFinal Haul!! ha ha.
Comments (7)Thanks everyone. I'm slowly working towards having more variety. I like how you have more variety in yours seysonn. Kentishman sent me some fish pepper seed (thank you!)... I hope to be adding those to next seasons harvest. I do have a final pick coming but I dont consider it haul worthy.. . These are the ones originally marked moruga scorpion at my local nursery. Obviously not. Might be a cross. Heat was hot but not super hot on first one. Going to grow it again next year to see if any recessive genes come out. I only got a half dozen pods off it after a mid season emergency transplant. Almost ready to pick a few. So slow with no good sun. Edit... It's droopy and needs water. Hardly have to water it while inside. It slowly droops over two or three days indoors and that's after a week or more since last watering. It also takes longer to perk back up after watering. It's like its metabolism has slowed with less sun. Not sure metabolism is the appropriate term for it but same idea. Rambling... Comments (38)Great job, good choices, uncluttered and fresh. I wouldn't paint the little demilune in the foyer, but I would hang a very tall mirror just a bit narrower than the table. It not only gives you a place to check your lipstick on the way out the door, but throws light back into the room, and opens up the wall to increase the sense of spaciousness. Now that I have seen the whole room, I like the lamp I showed you on the other post even more in the scheme...but since you have a small table to put it on, you might consider something like this floor lamp to furnish the corner and put the light where you need it without taking up space on the table where you want to put down a drink or a book... Here is a link that might be useful: Swing-arm floor lamp...See MoreMy last three weeks with a FL Speed Queen AFNE9BSP113TW01
Comments (0)Most of you have probably read my post about my Bosch Nexxt Washer with bearings that were starting to get noisy. If not, you can read about it here- https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/5164602/that-dreaded-day-has-finally-come?n=20 Everything turned out just fine but, going into the repair, I was not sure what I would find until I opened it up and even then if it was fixable or not. I also had to order parts so it would be a couple weeks without a Washer either way and with the volume of Laundry we do in my household I needed something now. I had a short list of machine that I had been considering for when this day came. I knew I wanted another Front Loader. The list included... LG WM3770 HWA Sears Kenmore Elite 41682 I even considered waiting on the Miele W1. They each had their good and bad points. But I kept going back to another washer, the FL Speed Queen I knew it was soon to be discontinued, I knew it didn't have a water heater, I knew some people absolutely loved their's, others, not so much. I had looked at it in the showroom back in the late Fall '17 and liked what I saw but there was no way I was willing to pay the asking price. I did manage to locate a brand new in the box Speed Queen AFNE9BSP113TW01 for well under the $1400 asking price so I made the hour and a half journey to pick it up. Here it is being unloaded out of my SUV-...See Morelinus2003
