Timeworks wall clocks
Comments (12)Here's my follow-up on fixing my Timeworks Clock: I found out the company was sold to UTTERMOST this month (Jan 2011). I found the high-torque movement that is the exact replacement for the one on my clock at NationalArtCraft.com I knew nothing about this website. They require a minimum order because they sell wholesale so I had to purchase 5 movements. The cost for 5 was less than 1 from Timeworks but with handling and shipping it was more. At least now I have 4 backups and won't have to worry about a replacement for a long time! P.S. They have a very good rating on BBB and their shipping was quick....See MoreSeeking advice on Four O'Clocks not fully blooming
Comments (11)Ok, folks -- I wasn't aware that simply posting a question on GardenWeb can solve a problem by itself. ==>>> its the voodoo.. we do .. lol ... they are what i call a warm or hot soil plant ... from seed.. they spout late.. when the soil warms up ... and if you had a cold spring.. they can already be behind ... then add the vagaries of summer.. and all of a sudden ... instead of starting bloom in early august.. they arent getting the steam up until mid to late august ... thats ma nature for you ... but now that they are going.. full steam.. you should enjoy them until first frost or so ... harvest some of the little hand grenades.. and strew them around where you might want them next year... and save a few in case the vermin get them all over winter .... and do try to remember what they look like when they hatch ... lol .... dont weed them all out ... if i strew things.. i grab a fallen stick and stick it in the ground.. so i know i put something there.. so next spring.. i at least know i did something .... sooner or later i will recognize it ... in my MI.. snow cover is what keeps the vermin away ... ken...See MoreClock too small for the wall space?
Comments (35)"this oversized clock (yes I understand it’s not everyone’s taste for wall decor but, we love it )" I am repeating and bolding OP's statement. It might be skipped over the way IdaClaire's helpful reminder was but the other option is to flag comments. There is no wall decor police. A stranger on the Internet has something on their wall you find uninspiring? It's fine. It really is. The world keeps turning and your own wall art is unaffected. OP didn't ask for anyone's opinion on this clock. They asked about size and fit. No value judgment on the piece was requested. Does anyone go into a friend's house and disparage their wall decor? Why would it be ok to do it when a stranger on the Internet shares a picture of their room?...See MorePutting wall clock on a nightstand. Does it work?
Comments (29)From a strictly aesthetic point of view I like it! It doesn't even look like a clock at first glance. It's a nice backdrop for the other pieces on the chest. From a practical point of view, which is NOT what you asked, but just for the heck of it: If it were in my line of sight frequently my subconscious would be trying to use it as a clock and I'd get frustrated being unable to see the whole thing. I also have cats who would love to send it rolling off the edge...but probably not before eating the plant and trying to swat the plus sign piece onto the floor. :-) Bottom line: I'm not an expert, but I don't see any aesthetic "rules" being broken. If the practical objections don't apply to you you're all set!...See More- 6 years agolast modified: 6 years ago
