Why, Why, Why???
Comments (20)I dunno, Joe. I tend to think that her's are producing because they are stressed as described above, but that is just a guess from what I have read. I can certainly understand the frustration, but you have some tomato cages to let them grow in and perhaps you will need all the support you can get to handle yours when they load up. A number of things can affect those things, sun might be one of the most obvious if yours are shaded or something. If you have not fertilized, just used compost, I surely would not think that they have enough nitrogen to cause a problem. In my garden, I laid the compost and composted horse manure on heavy. Some plants are loaded and some do not yet have a tomato set on the vines. Even some of the same variety are not consistent, and that puzzles me. One of those new Burpee's Porterhouse looks like and has . Another Portherhouse looks like and only has a couple of small tomatoes on the vine. The seed were started on the same day, and treatment has been about equal, other than the bigger one is in a container of compost and composted horse manure and gets more sun, while the other is in the ground and gets more shade. Patience is a virtue, a watched pot never boils and all them other other cliches. Bill P....See MoreWhy, Why, Why........Just A Thought.
Comments (14)Hi Gloria, I know that any hosta is different from ANY other...even if they belong to the same family or variety. Most of us are laymen (laywomen) and therefore are not expert in the field...and I dont ask where that hosta came from when I purchased it. Over the years, I limited myself to purchase from reliable growers and hosta suppliers...the Solbergs, Zilis, Van Wade, Tony Avent, or similar...I do not buy fom eBay because hostas are cheaper...very risky IMHO. I once bought Striptease...without the fine white line...and a few year after, it reverted back to Hyacinthina. And so, the fun continues....with some challenging hostas, sometimes.... We both need good luck with our Guardian Angel. If and when nothing works, I intend to simply purchase a new one. Papou...See Morewhy!! why!! why!!
Comments (10)I had the same problem at one time. The worms just wouldn't move into tray number 2. This is the advice i got and it worked like a charm. The worms started moving freely back and forth after that. If you are feeding into the second tray and there is a gap between trays you can skim off the top of the second bin and put the lowest part of the bedding into the bottom tray. At the same time take a good bunch (pint) of the compost with worms from the bottom and place it into the second tray. This will introduce a good start of microbes into your second tray. The worms are staying in the bottom tray right now because there isn't enough microbes it the top tray yet....See MoreWhy Why Why GW!! Email problems
Comments (9)I had this same problem and finally asked the GW Admin to assist. They said that it was because a location field was blank (not sure how, because I had filled in everything so the system was obviously not picking it up). The GW Admin were amazingly prompt and helpful in resolving it. They changed the password, filled in the details and then sent me a link to reset the pw. Please see excerpts of the correspondence below - hopefully this may be of use to you? Excerpts of my mail I am trying to change my profile. However no matter what I do (and how often I key the same passwords in), the message is always Passwords do not match/ Invalid password. Would you be able to assist? Excerpts of response Is it possible you've left one of the fields in the profile blank, or do you have the birth date filled out This portion of the form is now a required field, and will sometimes cause a glitch with saving profile changes if it's not added in there. If you've added a date and are still experiencing trouble saving changes, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further. Excerpts of my mail I have filled in all the fields. I am still unable to change the profile and the error message remains the same. Excerpts of response It appears that because the location form fields were blank, this was what was preventing your from saving any changes. Once I filled in these fields, I was able to successfully change your profile....See Morescott_madison Zone 5a- Madison, WI
