Just curious -- do you have a king or a queen sized bed?
Comments (39)Thanks again for all the great responses here. I'm happy to report that just tonight I finally made my decision and ordered a king! I went with the Novaform memory foam from Costco (they're on sale this week). I'm a bit nervous -- a bed seems like such a crucial purchase and it's so easy to get wrong -- but I feel like anything will be better than our tired old mattress. I need to decide what sort of actual bed to get with it. Since we previously had a queen I can't use the same box springs with the new mattress. I realize no box spring is necessary, but we don't even have a bed frame of any kind. We may buy a really nice bed sometime in the future, but for now I just want to sleep comfortably! I suppose it will be okay on the floor for a while, but I'll need to think of something pretty quickly. I don't think my poor old knees could take getting out a bed on the floor for too long! Thanks again for your input -- it really helped our decision-making process....See MoreWhat Size Pillow Shams for King Size bed?
Comments (13)@anglophilia, we have a lot of pillows too! I sleep on 2 and DH sleeps on 1-2 and hugs another. Right now my setup is awful, but I usually put 3 standards in back, topped with 2 kings, then 2 standard shams, then 1 accent. DH hates all the pillows, but we I use a king and standard and he uses all standards. It's such a mess to make the bed and look nice. I think with a setup like my mockup photo, I could hide our old smushy standard pillows behind the king shams if needed. Then add king pillows in white pillowcases, then a couple accent pillows. I want to break up the sham and duvet pattern since they are the same....See MoreNeed a king sized bed, any ideas?
Comments (42)Any feedback about cons of having a King bed? Fewer bedding options. I'm extraordinarily picky, apparently, when it comes to linens/decor/houses/clothes/whatever, and I find that there are fewer selections of king-sized bedding (as opposed to queen). I actually have a queen-sized bed, but I buy oversized duvets and quilts for it. My husband has been reluctant to upgrade to a king, knowing that I already buy King stuff... If we trade our queen for a king, *poof* there goes my entire "look." :-(...See MoreHelp with Bedroom Rug King Size Bed (10 x 14) Smoke Blue Accent Wall
Comments (15)judianna20 I did hire a professional who dumped the project when the wall paper she insisted I pick not the one I loved was damaged. She did not fix it and nor would the company take it back. The wallpaper hangers were left to either try to fix the problem. It was a disaster costing me 1600.00 Then 400.00 take glue off the wall they left and paint. So yes I did hire a professional but I wont name her because it doesnt do any good as I agreed to go with her and she didnt fix the problem and just ignored it happened and that it cost me alot to trust her. She is local designer but really no degree in Interior design that should of been a red flag but only in Art degree. She was known for staging and I think that was the only thing she was good at and everything else she was off in color and off in scale and honestly I fired her and didnt look back....See Moreanomoley
