If your sofa arrived a week ago or so, it is made in China. They moved all of their production into China. The quality seems to be exceptional anyway. I don't care where my sofa is made as long as it is well made and I can afford it. I ordered my sectional from Ambiente. I found the store first and then read the reviews. They really have very competitive pricing. I had my eyes on Francesca sectional first but then I found out that Primanti sectional is very similar and is available almost right away. They promised it to be delivered in about 4 weeks. Of course it was delayed a little bit (arrived in 5 weeks), but I was expecting that. Altogether I paid under 4500 for a sectional that I love(it was an out of state purchase so no tax). Delivery guys could be more polite and careful, but they didn't damage any furniture, however I had to clean the floor after their visit.

With the highest membership level at Costco, this company had failed to deliver the product within the SLA terms bound to them by Costco. Not only this, Abbyson Living had no idea where the product ordered was located for 3-4 weeks. Then once they found it, they claimed it was due to "holiday orders". Discussions during these 3-4 weeks were before, during and after Christmas; before, during and after New Years. It wasn't until mid-January they came up with the reason. Once found, Abbyson Living chose to minimize their actions by not accepting responsibility, acknowledging they made an error, and not being truthful. Not being truthful to the customer, but also not being truthful to Costco as a vendor. Abbyson Living still has not and won't accept responsibility for their actions; to me as a customer or to Costco. Should you choose to do business with this company, be warned - this company manipulates, lies, deceives and promotes this within their business practices, from what they've shown me as a customer and their contract through Costco.

Thanks for the great tips. Yes, it's a good point that 16 won't be sitting at the same time...more like 12 or so. Sadly, I have to go fairly dark due to the cleaning and staining issues. I should have added that I plan to add a large 12 x 15 area rug to break up the dark sofas from the darkish wood. I can't go with medium gray because it will look too "matchy-matchy" with the med. gray stone fireplace. Quick question/concern...I searched for sofas that are made from "Sunbrella" people here suggested and there are only a few and they are outdoor sofas. Mostly, the Sunbrella fabric is pillows. Also, I'll be removing both sofa tables behind the sofas that are there now, so that will give me another~ 4+ feet. But I still plan on putting more narrow sofa tables as I don't want the sofas right up against the walls, so it will be more like an extra 2 feet I'll be gaining. Any other suggestions for a "tough" fabric that won't be torn easily? We've had issues with guests sitting on the sofas, etc., with keys, etc, in their back pockets that tear the fabric or snag it. What are opinions on leather? Vinyl? Also, I'd like to lighten up the room with a cleaner, more modern white (ish) paint, maybe with a touch of gray, )but not with any blue or "pink" in it.) The walls are now painted Sherwin-Williams "Accessible Beige" and the Doors (not seen in the pictures are "Dovetail"...which I LOVE, but is way too dark for the walls. I've already gone down the line of the "Dovetail" paint strip and the lighter colors look kinda "pink-ish" in that room.) Thanks again everyone

One thing that you need to be aware of with leather is that it is slippery, so your slipcover would have to have some good anchoring. The fact that there are moving parts on it does complicate matters. You have probably already done what is the most logical and easiest thing by adding some color elements. My opinion is that, while it can be done, it might not be worth it with all of those complications. I don't think it matters much what kind of fabric for the slipcover. What matters more is what is covering the couch, the leather. It has no nap and no texture for anything to grip it. Slipcovers are problematic in the best of circumstances. Another consideration is the amount of fabric needed for something that large. Would you be doing this yourself or hiring out? I think that unless you could get a good price on the fabric and do it yourself that you are looking at an expense that is probably not worth it. This past week I made a slipcover for an Ikea chair. But, this is a cushion that I can take off and work with. It turned out well. I also refreshed another chair that I use with my desk. I had recovered it many years ago and it developed a very worn place. Luckily I still have a length of that cloth and I made a tie on cover for the seat, replaced the arm covers and made a nice cushion all of the remaining fabric. It will last me for as long as I need it to last. For you, it might be better to just buy new furniture if you don't like the one you have.
