I need help with color & coordinating SW Pavilion Beige
Comments (4)This is a difficult question because it all depends on personal taste. I would recommend finding inspiration photos from Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, etc. Check out www.houzz.com for inspiration as well. I personally would choose chocolate brown, black, and taupe with an accent color. I love slate blue for an accent color with brown/black/taupe (like a silvery blue-gray). This is what I've done in my current house and I love the way it looks. A friend used the same granite as you with similar floors. Her furniture was brown and black. Her area rugs were black/taupe/cream. Family photos had black frames on the walls. Then her accent color was red (red pillows, art with red in it, etc). It looked very pretty. HTH, Good luck!...See More"Need help with my wallpaper and color coordination"

Comments (7)I think the art works on the wall you have it leaned against. I would switch the light fixture to something brushed nickel and larger / more rectangular. Then I’d find some simple 3D art for the long wall. Maybe some old china plates that have that soft blue ink on them to compliment your wall color? Or a metallic laser cut piece. I would do simple curtains- white or navy, and a coordinating table runner with a silver centerpiece, either chunky candles or geometric sculptures....See MoreHelp coordinating new and old bedoom furniture
Comments (8)I took the quiz and came out as Coastal Chic. I agree about the end tables - they are all awful. Here are a couple of pictures of the room as it now is. I need to replace the bed for sure because with the curved headboard and footboard it's just too big and extends way too far into the room. There's just not much space between the bed and the dresser. I was thinking about replacing the bed with an upholstered bed in a lighter neutral color. Something more contemporary looking. I would like to also replace the dresser and chests at the sides of the bed with a new dresser and nightstands. The two chests that I have used as nightstands are large (48" wide) and, if I center the bed under the windows, there is no room for a chest on one side of the bed. I would like to go with something more contemporary for the dresser and nightstands, however, that's where the issue with the chairs comes in because the chairs are such a dark finish and tropical style. Even if I had them reupholstered, they are still dark and tropical. I would like to keep the chairs, but I just need some feedback as to whether you think they will work with a more contemporary feel to the rest of the furniture similar to what I posted originally. Thanks for your advice....See MoreManon Floreat
