Good horror flicks to watch during the Xmas season?
Comments (51)Me? Cylon? Fracking Zeus, you may be right! That explains a lot: No baby pictures 11 brothers who all look like me That odd factory in my hometown How perfect I am Speaking of small towns. Ever notice how some of these in our neck of the woods are all quaint and charming and others are just sad and creepy? You know, I really enjoy these TV series, type DVDs. ThereÂs something a bit more gratifying when you have to devote many nights of viewing in order to finish something and see how it all turns out. After I did a bunch of these and then took a break and watched a few regular movies, the movies just seemed lacking or rushed or kind of lame at telling the story they wanted to tell. Maybe all movies need to be 6 hours minimum. I have to do more of these series once I start the DVD thing again. Will do the miniseries. I like my kind....See MoreMovie Recommendations?
Comments (15)No, I haven't seen that movie Angel... in fact I have never seen ANY Bette Davis movies until just before this past Christmas. That's what prompted me to buy the two I listed. We have a BIG video/DVD library b/c for years we never had cable tv (just by choice) so we watched a lot of movies instead. That's when I really got into the oldies. Also my hubby has always worked shifts/nights and I *HATE* the sound of a quiet house so I've been in the habit for 20 years of falling asleep to the old movies. They aren't loud like some of the modern movies and being black and white they keep the room pretty dark but also they usually had live orchestra scores to go along with the movie and the string instruments were most commonly used and they are nice to fall asleep to. Oddly enough, Psycho has nice soft music and it's VERY easy to fall asleep to, that is, until the big SCREAM right near the end when Lila Crane finds... well...you know... ;o) I'll have to look into the Bette Davis movie you've recommended...thanks :o) Barb southern Ontario, CANADA...See MoreNetflix movies, any recommendations?
Comments (60)If you have Amazon Prime, don't miss Sneaky Pete. It's 10 episodes and will definitely have another season. Brian Cranston is a producer and is one of the stars along with Giovanni Ribsi. We watched Whiplash last night. I thought it was a slow start and intense, but incredibly well done. Lion was fabulous! Passengers is really good too. I'm not a fan of Sci-Fi, but DH saw it on a flight and ordered it from Netflix so that I could see it. If you haven't seen the Crown or FEUD, they're good too!...See MoreNetflix movie
Comments (8)Well I'm not a widow, but I am a bachelorette tonight. I think a chick flick will be just the ticket. Thanks!...See MoreFunkyart
