Benjamin Moore’s Ballet White is too khaki/beige and too dark for the interior next to Classic Gray. I’d stick with Cotton Balls or Linen White, for creamy but not too stark. If you are specifically wanting an off white you could go with Ballet White or Swiss Coffee on cabinets and such, but it’s going to probably read too dark to be considered a white shade next to the Classic Gray - it will look more creamy and tan, which could still be beautiful, but I’d not put that on every piece of trim and door but use it as a creamy contrast next to the whiter shades and the stronger gray.

Hi Kate, We live in NYC area, go to several open houses a month, many are multi million dollar properties. On this end the answer is "no." Grey is very popular here and sends a mental note to perspective buyers that the property has been updated. Anything that is beige screams "builder" and all white walls translates to "landlord-rental paint" Currently, buyers here shudder at anything in the orangy-red colors. I've heard countless people mumble at open houses "we'd have to redo the floors" when presented with outdated, bright orangey colored wood floors. White kitchens and subway tile is received with relief and enthusiasm. Having said that, "grey" comes in so many different shades that it's easy for everyone to find one they like. Agree with everyone above though, find what you like and go with it! We have lots of grey in our home and love it, but our grey is in paint only and at that, on accent walls. I could easily have it changed in a heartbeat.

I'd look for a tinted white/ barely there gray, as I prefer a white/neutral kitchen. as in this entry space gray door and light walls. You need to know the tones of gray cabinet paint- cool or warm.. Take a cabinet door to BM or Sherwin Williams or other paint store.....Ask staff to match it to one of their colors. Research palettes with that color. SW has several books that have pre-coordinated palettes --nearly all have a few gray shades.... Or web search example below. My current project: Laundry/ utility room was decided on colors we liked SWSea Salt and Eider White. The cabinet color is SWMindful Gray after reviewing many paint swatches. Then, last night I came across this, which reinforced the selections ETA. I hated the BM and SW color visualizers, those programs were not helpful. Search kitchens with gray cabinets. If a page doesn't have wall paint details, then save the image and use a Reverse Image search, which will show you to other sites with that image, like Instagram.
