Here's what I selected for my kitchen, what do you think?
Comments (10)I would point out that functionally there are 3 electric ovens. A better option may be to get the all gas range with an electric wall oven to have some variety. The gas ovens aren't self clean, but may be preferable in certain applications, depending how you cook. As far as refrigeration, you could get the 700bc combo unit to add freezer space if that were a problem. I personally find the pro48 fine in the freezer department. It has significantly more capacity than the 632 (11.7 v. 9.9 cu. ft.). You didn't mention dishwashers, but I would probably get 2 in your case if the volume of prep dishes and dinnerware is at all represented by the amount of food storage/cooking space you have. Maybe a Miele and a set of Dishdrawers would be good....See MoreWhat do I put in this space?! Suggestions please? Pic included.
Comments (13)The one thing I wish we had was a 'mail' area. I cannot stand having 'non-food' and 'non-eating' items in our new kitchen area. Things like mail, bills ready to be paid, keys, lunchboxes, pens, the newspaper etc. drive me nuts when somebody leaves them on the countertop. If we had a desktop closer to the door, all that 'stuff' would have an official home. From the picture, a full size cabinet would require you to move the plug (which is a PITA if you don't like drywall work). The height of a desktop would be lower than regular cabinet height so you wouldn't have to move it. The buffet idea works too because the height would not have to match your existing counter. If it was a 'floating' top, you'd have room underneath for slippers,a folding stepstool, umbrella stand, or bins to put stuff into....See MoreHelp- what do I put here?
Comments (10)The tile installer should have used matching caulk, which is flexible, but he took the easy way out and used grout, which is brittle and crumbled. Use painting tape to protect the tile and counter and apply a bead of waterproof caulk, using a narrow rip opening to force it into the crack. Smooth it and remove the tape....See MoreWhat can I do with open space in front of slider in kitchen
Comments (6)Do you need another eating place ? If not why not a couple of nice chairs and a coffee table for a spot for morning coffee or for guests that like to visit while you cook. I looks like opening the wall to the DR would make another eating space a bit useless . Can you post pics of the new kitchen layout...See Moretorreykm
