I think bringing blues into your family room would be lovely. Just have a unifying neutral wall color and bring some of the creamy, golden or brown colors into your family room (pillows, throws, artwork, rug). Gold and blue are complementary colors.

We have a dedicated office and dining room already so no need for another one. We are a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 child) and this room will get the most use as we are not the type to hang out in our bedrooms. This room will also have the only TV in the house as well (60"). We want to put an 'L' shaped couch or a sofa and a side chair of some type so when we have guests over we are not all sitting on one couch. I just noticed in my earlier post there was an error, my budget for this room is $5,000. I love the idea of doing two separate areas and maybe the nook as a library...what's the best way to position the rugs to make this look cohesive..and should the rugs match or is that weird?

Coffee station might cause a problem. Steam/heat and wood cabinet ceiling will not play well together. I like the ideas of a wine rack and charging station, but additional work will be needed for the wine rack. It could also be an appliance cabinet since it already has a receptacle. You could keep your toaster and electric can opener in there, and also store your mixer or food processor in there. It would be easy to add cabinet doors to the space. Or, turn it into a drawer.

That was my first comment too… yikes for the tree. are you going to plant anything else in there? something flowing over the edge? apart from that, im not really sure whats your question? hard to tell how everything lines up in the photos. if you dont want patio, firepit, etc etc…. Then the answer left is grass and plants. where is this driveway going?
