How did you move them? Cut and paste? Or copy and paste? Or...?

Also, are you saying you do have the photos on your computer, just not on your phone?

I put my iPhone photos on my (Windows) computer by plugging the phone's USB charging cord into a USB port on the computer. The phone shows up as an external drive. I look for the DCIM folder on the phone and COPY (not move) it to a folder on the computer. The original photos remain on the phone. Depending on your iCloud settings, the files on the phone may be only a low-res version of the photo, the original high quality version is on iCloud.

It seems no matter what, Apple makes it very difficult to import photos to your phone from a PC. Apple suggests I tunes which I do not have on my computer, nor want it.

The photos were deleted from the phone by accident. Windows 10 makes it easy to export photos to the computer. A window pops up when you connect your phone to the computer and you can select which photos you want to put on the computer. The problem is they have a small box which says 'delete photos from device after exporting.' I believe that was checked when I sent the pics to the computer.

As a result they do not show in I cloud and were deleted from the phone.

I think what I will do is email the pics to myself so they show up on the phone. There are a lot of pictures so it will take a lot of emails. I found some software you can download which promises to do the dirty deed, but I do not know the companies and don't like downloading something I don't recognize.

I have a meeting on Monday and need the photos for that meeting. Its about construction and I took photos of the site and what the owner wanted done. Now I lost the photos. What a pain!

Why don't you just open up iCloud on your computer and upload the photos?

kudzu, the photos are not there. They never uploaded because they were deleted the day I took them. That is the dilemma.

Yes, the photos are on my desktop. I'm trying to move them back to my phone to show them to the contractor on Monday.

They are no longer on my phone, nor I cloud. Somehow they got deleted and I'm trying to figure out how to copy them from my pc back to the iphone.

I'll have to email them to myself.

Jane, there’s like 7 different ways to transfer you photos in that link, and only one includes iTunes, leaving you 6 other options. Emailing would be my last option if it were me.

Steve, you are not understanding what I wrote. I do not have the pictures on my phone. They are on my Windows 10 desktop. The instructions are to upload pictures on my iphone or Mac to Icloud.. I have a Windows computer. I do not have any pictures on my iphone.

I can't click on the photo app because the pictures aren't there. They were deleted.

Its obvious I'm not explaining this clearly.

I'm going to repeat the advice I gave you above in more detail:

Go to your computer; open up a browser; navigate to iCloud and sign in; click on Photos;click on the upload icon at the top of the window; select the photos on the Desktop of your computer; upload them. After they are in iCloud, iCloud should sync with your phone and your photos should be back on your iPhone.

I tried that over and over. It didn't work. I clicked on Import, then the photo. Each time I tried to open the photo, Windows says there is no file.
