Did you ever figure it out? I just noticed this thread What I have done in the past is go to my Lable function in Word and find a multiple lable on one page then I copy and paste the various photos on it sometimes 3 - 6 - even a photo on each address label considering the label I pick worth a try and experiment.

When my Mother passed away and I inherited boxes of old photos, clippings, announcements photo albums of many sizes etc. etc. etc.....I spent most of one year re-organizing and putting stuff in albums of uniform size and archival quality....the timing was right for it to happen. Even postcards were put their own (plastic pocketed) album. I organized by year, cropped and pretty much made 'collage' pages....many photo's telling a 'story in photos' with few captions on only a few pages. I typed into a computer program all of the details I could gather about ancestors from obits etc.and sealed those clippings into album pages as well. It DID take a year, and my large dining room table was like an ocean as I got it cleaned up from one year/era before the next came rushing in. I still have one photo box with 'worthwhile' but unidentified photo's and duplicates, if any family members ever want to check them out; and one box of negatives identified mostly as they were saved by the photographer. Meanwhile, the very large 12x12 albums ARE looked at frequently and different 'times/people' are found easily. A couple of summers ago, youngest grandaughter made the observation that there were no photos of her in the albums (age 13), so this winter I did spend some time bringing the "Family Albums" more up to date. Digital is fine, but we do miss gathering around he 'albums' checking out the parents etc. and it is a still to be done chore to get some digitals printed. We are about to visit 38 year old grandson who has just had his first baby, and meet his new wife and 2 children. I will be taking ONE album.... the time period when he lived with us during his baby/toddler years. I expect it will be fun to show him off to his new family.... and then the rest of US when they come here to visit. I also made seperate albums for each of my 3 children... taking many photos 40 miles into town to scan. Today I have my own scanner and printer, so that should make putting albums together really easy. Still a work in progress, as each of the families continue to grow.

I love it when I find a new way to make an old way better. Good for you! For photos, I find it amazing how the digital world has changed everything. My kid will never have this photo dilemma. Ha! I guess I'm not very emotionally attached to my photos (the paper aspect, anyway). Many years ago, I got tired of the bazillion mismatched photo albums. I took them all apart, rubber-banded the groups, and filed them all in 2 photo boxes. That was freedom right there...to rid of the album clutter & space. In recent years, I've been scanning the banded photos to my computer, and...*gasp*...I throw away the paper prints. I've whittled the 2 full photo boxes down to 1 box which is about 3/4 full. When I want to frame & display a photo, I go find it, and am able to print to whatever size I want. Crop, fix, and make a so-so print something worthy of framing. I've scanned obituaries, childhood report cards & certificates, and many other paper keepsakes. Paper is gone and I don't miss them at all. They are now preserved & won't yellow further on the computer. If I want to find something, I know exactly where to find the digital document. No digging, no distractions of other treasures in the middle of my search. No mess. I'm able to print or email & share the obits and documents with family who lost their copies. Liberating.

The pictures won't budge to either upload or download them. I wonder if you might be able to just drag and drop them into 'Your Pics' on your computer. It looks like there are some folks from the Admin Group (ArcSoft_Jason) who have some recent replies answering questions. That's such a wonderful undertaking, writing your husband's biography. Hopefully there is some way of rescuing the pics from their captivity on your computer. Know any young geeks? Some kids/teens seem to be able to do so much on computer, without any real training. Tomorrow is another day and maybe things will work out. Yes, maybe tomorrow it will all work out. Hope so.
