Is it your own album? What happens when you right-click on one of the pictures?

You asked back in March, and actually you did get a response, but you didn't follow through and answer the questions. If we don't get the info we need there's no way to give a reliable answer.
If you want to go back and reply you can find the post by searching for your seniorgal name in the search box at the bottom of the page.
Where is the photobase installed? Computer, pda, phone? I don't know anything about the product and from a google search it seems to be a very old version have you tried updating to the most recent version? Please tell us where the picture is located is it on the computer or in an online album?
Have you tried accessing the picture with a different photo viewer?

I've had the software (actually ArcSoft Photobase 3) for about three years. I scanned the pictures into the program and made albums. They are on my computer. I'm beginning to think the problem, besides the program being old, is that it may have a problem with Windows Vista

There was no chastising meant in the least bit, simply asking for more information to be able to try to give an informed accurate reply. We routinely must request additional information, I truly wish I could have all the answers spill out magically but I unfortunately don't have that power. LOL

Never hesitate to ask, we may not have the answers but with help from all sides we can try to find it.
The program is one I have never had experience with plus it is a very old version no longer supported which makes it even more difficult to research.
I did however find when spending time researching your problem there's a forum for arc soft and there's questions there about photobase so that might be the best place to find answers.

Well, you are certainly not too old, and appear to be doing great.

Found that ArcSoft has a forum, so maybe they can help you. It doesn't seem too active, so you might have to check back every so often for replies, unless they can be emailed to you. Good luck. I can only imagine how frustrated it must be to have your pics locked.

Have you tried to upload them to an on line storage site, just as a last resort?

I will check the forum. I've gone through the Help index and haven't found an answer. The pictures won't budge to either upload or download them. Might be easiest to scan them in again although I no longer have some of them. Actually many of them are pictures of my deceased husband. I've been writing his biography for our children and want to insert the pictures.

Also some are very old pictures of the places where I grew up. I used them in a book I wrote in the 80's about my family. Unfortunately I gave those to a nephew who was interested.

Thanks for the responses. I think I sound grouchy today because it has been raining all day. Tomorrow is another day and maybe things will work out.

The pictures won't budge to either upload or download them.
I wonder if you might be able to just drag and drop them into 'Your Pics' on your computer.

It looks like there are some folks from the Admin Group (ArcSoft_Jason) who have some recent replies answering questions.

That's such a wonderful undertaking, writing your husband's biography. Hopefully there is some way of rescuing the pics from their captivity on your computer. Know any young geeks? Some kids/teens seem to be able to do so much on computer, without any real training.

Seniorgal, I was amazed reading your profile page. You're practically a newlywed! :-) Congrats.

Have you tried rebooting your computer? Sometimes that magically fixes things. Worth a try.
