Both coffee table and ottoman in living room?
Comments (5)Well, I think it's hard to know whether the room will be overly crowded or cluttered without knowing the size of the room or seeing a picture, but to me, and this may be just my own opinion, but I think if you have a coffee table and an ottoman in the same room, the coffee table should be larger than the ottoman. Does that make sense to anyone else but me? Also, I just wonder if you even need a coffee table with such a big ottoman. You could put a tray on top of the ottoman and still have room for feet!...See MoreWhat do I do for ottomans/coffee table(s) in this living room?
Comments (5)Actually, it's your sofa on the left facing the chairs and possibly the love seat that need a table. The sofa facing the love seat has tables on each side therefore one in front isn't really necessary. You could take the table from your last layout, rotate it and place it closer to the sofa facing the chairs. Place a small table (very small) or garden stool to the right of the love seat for that person to place a drink on. Another option would be two storage ottomans that can be moved around depending on where someone is sitting. If the tops are firm enough a glass can be set on them when your feet aren't!! ;)...See MoreFamily Room: Need rug and coffee table suggestions
Comments (20)Hi Jck910! I think the rugs you suggested are beautiful. I like the middle one the most. I think the others are not quite my taste. However, I am very curious to see if it meshes well with the taupe sofas and blue accent chairs....See MoreSmall living room with front door-need furniture arrangement help!
Comments (13)I wouldn't do that fireplace surround. It's jus not a good look w/the type room/decor you have. try it elsewhere. try craigslist and similar sources for rugs, tables, shelving. as for the room layout, for the wall that's next to the doorway, and to the right of window (pic #3 up top) what if you did some cool shelving or book cases? I'd also look into doing some sort of shade or blind instead of those bulky drapes. This is a simple layout you could copy. a larger sofa w/a chaise would work for that room better than your two sofas. if doing a tv, try a shallow console and mount the tv to the wall. you can do a 'coffee table' by utilizing an ottoman or something similar. this type of sofa against the large windows would work out better. notice the blinds, nice contrasting paint color on the walls, colorful rug, potted plants. same layout. Imagine your windows are behind the sofa. shallow shorter shelving on the opposing wall is great for kids toys and books. mount tv. fabric ottoman for coffee table. neutral rug....See Moretina
