Area rug color and size help please!
Comments (15)To me, the current rug looks very monochromatic/brown in a very brown room, but if you like it, then it might be fine. I would love to see something with more colors to liven up the room a bit. Not sure any of your other choices are perfect because I don't think they meld the colors in them with the browns in your room. I think the size looks fine, but think you could also have a smaller one if you placed your furniture a bit closer together. (this might be camera angle). It looks like no one can reach the coffee table easily, from the couch or chairs and the chairs seem a bit far from the couch for a conversation area. I like the blues but would like to see a rug with some brown along with the blues (or other colors)... maybe along these lines....See MoreArea rug. Colour, style? Help!
Comments (9)You don't have to use a rug. But since your tables are so close in color to your flooring, I do think it would look nice to have one. You have a lot of gray and brown in the room. I would get a rug that has more color to warm up the space. The example above would look great. Look at the deeper blues and reds from your artwork for inspiration. The furniture doesn't need to be 100% on top of the rug, and you want a minimum of 1 foot from all your baseboards. Look at Overstock.com for some really nice affordable options....See MoreHelp with choosing an area rug (color and pattern)
Comments (6)I can understand why your husband doesn't like the gray rug. All the other rugs are old wool Orientals (except the hide) and the new one is what nylon, polyester and an ordinary on-line/HomeGoods purchase. Replace it with another with the same quality of the others. It is fine to see all of them at once because it is the style and quality which makes them work together....See MoreHELP!! Comments (4)Search Annie Selke for Dash and Albert. Coffee table in a texture in the same tone as the floor. Put the lumbar pillow on the chair...4 pillows on sofa is enough....See Moreker9
