Mid paint job. Modern Gray yay

So we are in the midst of the paint job- wallpaper removal from entryway and upstairs hallway--------painting that area, 2 "kids' rooms' - guest bedroom, guest bathroom, master sitting room, office laundry room and so on.

The hallway took 3 days to get the wallpaper down and is just being prepped/primed for paining, will be Divine White.

So the Big Happy Surprise that for the guest bedroom and one daughter's room I selected Modern Gray just to switch it up from the more comfy beiges and blues.

I figured it was light enough but gray enough and those 2 rooms have been painted, and it looks great! They are not finished yet, but I have to say what a great color. The other rooms have not been painted yet (and will be accessible beige) and I am sure I will be delighted but the Modern Gray was a a real happy surprise. Great color.

Your realtor is giving bad advice, leave the brick alone, you will disappoint the diehard MCM buyers. Your eye goes to light colours first, so leave all the trim especially at the roofline light, no black. If it was my home, I would consider painting the walls a warm taupe/grey, it has to work with the roof color, the brick and the mortar. Choose your colors carefully, you should hire a color expert to be on site. Or don’t paint at all, leave it to the buyer. Maybe the wood at the entry can be restored. Please don’t change anything that is authentic. This example photo shows how the wall and carport support was painted a color to work well with the brick.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Off-white with a bright colored, mid century door was the direction I was leaning, so it sounds like I’m on the right track, @emmarene9, I think the small plants are boxwoods, but I am going to pull those out along with the stones and redo that bed with some more mid-century appropriate, Texas native landscaping - maybe grasses or succulents. And here’s a close up of the iron scrolling that you asked for (dirty and coated in that ugly green paint, but in good shape otherwise).

The paint colors should be reversed on your house. Your windows and trim should be the darkest color pulled from the brick a very dark charcoal brown while the panels should be the lighter color within that dark color span. Because I don’t have a straight on shot of you house, it is very difficult to paint your house in a way that would show you what I am talking about via the computer. Here is another house - that had a similar issue. Hopefully you will understand what I am saying.
