Comments (4)I like the stools but I think you should wait to pick a table so you can make sure to get coordinating dining chairs. I'm not sure if it will work in your space size wise, but I think round dining tables are a bit more casual and also will fit the curve of your doors better. https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/lark-manor-parfondeval-54-round-glass-dining-table-lrkm3258.html https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/sydney-dining-table-60-lrfy8253.html https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/darby-home-co-eldorado-dining-table-dbhc2166.html https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/lexington-oyster-bay-calerton-extendable-dining-table-ltn3599.html https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/one-allium-way-roswell-dining-table-oawy7418.html lights also depend on shape of table. But in general I would go for something thats a touch casual for a breakfast area. https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/lark-manor-tremiere-4-light-geometric-pendant-lark3145.html https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/arteriors-home-geoffrey-12-light-candle-style-chandelier-arn2920.html https://www.wayfair.com/lighting/pdp/langley-street-maria-5-light-kitchen-island-pendant-lgly6113.html...See Morehelp choosing a chair or two to go with sofa
Comments (4)Often sofas like yours just overwhelm chairs like the one pictured. I'd consider the height and overall presence of the MCM style pieces you want to introduce, keeping the scale close....meaning the seat heights need to be about the same and the overall height within just a couple of inches. Good news is that those chairs (& similar) do come in various sizes and various fabrics. I'd likely choose a stronger colour, or if ivory something very textured....See MoreChoosing dining chairs to go with a large, glossy table
Comments (37)Hi AJ! Now a vote for buying on consignment & reupholstering. I bought 6 Parsons-style chairs from a local furniture consignment shop; they were the size and scale that I wanted, and were substantial and sturdy...but covered in a nondescript fabric that made them easy to overlook. I think I paid $40 each, so $240 for all six (after pricing similar new chairs at about 10x that amount, upholstered in fabric that I didn't love). I had the seat cushions replaced with a thicker, firmer cushion, and had them upholstered in a darkish slate blue velvet...I think the complete cost (including the chairs themselves) ended up at a bit more than $2000. The chairs are comfortable to sit on, and have nice tall backs to lean against...pre-COVID, they lent themselves to hanging about the table with friends after dinner. If the reupholstering is in the budget, that could be the way to go!...See MoreHelp me choose sofa/seating
Comments (6)The issue with moving the sofa to the other wall and adding chairs is that the tv is across from the sofa now. This seems like the best placement for viewing. I do think the same fabric may look better but now that it’s in place it seems very light (especially for having a little one... although it’s suppose to be a forgiving fabric). I attempted to order the chairs in the photo I posted but was told the fabric was S and not so forgiving....See MoreUser
