Hosta L 2012 (No Lakesides)
Comments (37)Hostanista, you picture of lancifolia in bloom is awesome! I don't have lancifolia, but it is ON THE LIST And I'm pleased to see another Little Jay, which I like. It is the reverse variegation of Verna Jean, a very strong growing smaller hosta. As well, I got a second Lemon Lime because of the pictures of it seen on here....think it was the same photo that was posted several months back? It seems to be able to fill in bare spots quickly. I got two Little Sunspots this summer, and cannot wait for it to do its best, and then there is my new love, Luna Moth. Just so it looks like Irawon's I'll be happy. Some cool pictures coming up in the "L" section! Here are the rest of mine. Lederhosen....I accidentally have two, only bought one in May 2010, and then a NOID from that same shipment from PDN seems to be a second Lederhosen instead of the plantaginea I ordered.....strange things happened on that order. So here are two different Lederhosen with two different colors: both blooming, in the foreground Lemon Lime #1 from Savory's #2 from Hornbaker Little Jay surrounded by Verna Jeans and maybe some White Doves? hmmmm.... Little Sunspot (I will upload it to Flickr later....can't believe I ignored it this whole year!) Little White Lines Liverpool White....late late after October it arrived. It is upper right side. Longissima Love Pat....it came late this year too Lucy Vitols...she's the one in the shiny big green pot, a lot of eyes with this girl when it arrived in late September. Luna Moth, from my last order to Hallson for October delivery This post was edited by moccasinlanding on Mon, Jan 21, 13 at 20:57...See MoreHosta L 2014 (No Lakesides)
Comments (83)Just walk away from Lemon Juice, McT. HVX straight from the hybridizer. As beautiful as it was, it was diagnosed immediately after I got it. Positive test result. Not worth the risk on this one. I'd love to have it, too. Luckily, I noticed it immediately and nothing else was infected....See MoreHosta L 2016 (No Lakesides)
Comments (54)Liberty is one heck of a hosta, as shown by your photos! It was the one that blew me away last year. You'd think I had photo edited the color! But I think Tiddisolo and I took our Liberty pictures at about the same time---during the time of the intense yellow border. Then later. What a transformation. From a different angle: Now Lancifolia can't compare with Liberty, but last season I found a new appreciation for it. I decided to divide my very old clump into several divisions. I thought: how can we not appreciate a hosta that does not require much upkeep; I've never had much frost damage and forms a perfectly round neat shape! Here is one of the divisions potted up....See MoreHosta Lakesides only 2017
Comments (56)mctav, your blue hostas always get my attention! The Lakeside Blue Jeans is beautiful, and the two blues to the left of Lakeside Sparkle Plenty look nice too. This time I gotta ask about a yellow hosta though. If you don't mind, could you tell me what is to the right of Lakeside Storm Watch? I don't have any Lakesides yet, but your guys' Paisley Print looks tempting (as does that Blue Jeans). I had to stop adding any more names to my wish list since it got way too long with this year's alphabet and I probably won't be able to add many hostas on this year. Anxious (and excited) to see if all of last year's additions come back this Spring, and how they look this year. Pip counting can't get here soon enough!...See Moreperen.all Zone 5a Ontario Canada
