Seven tube per shelf monster seed starting setup
Comments (5)Just finished the second shelf of seven tubes so now have 14 tubes total, seven per a shelf. With all seven tubes on and my reflective space blankets closed up all around it gets up to 88 degrees inside, but by opening one side I can reduce that to 70 degrees. By playing around with how much ventilation I allow I can probably get any temperature I want in the 70 to 88 degree range. I also have a humidity gauge and the relative humidity is running around 70 percent with the blankets closed, in fact I get some condensation on the inside of the blanket. I also installed an insulating rubber pad on the shelf and covered it with aluminum foil to reflect back any lost light. I am now debating whether I should add a third shelf of seven lights while I can still get the fluorescent strip lights for $1.99 each (just the bare fixture and ballast, no bulb or power cord)....See MoreLinen closet dimensions and pictures - please post
Comments (1)We just installed a floor to ceiling linen cabinet in our master, it's 24 inches wide and 18 inches deep. It's split into two sections with two doors up and two doors down. I put the shelves in so there is about an 18 inch space from the top. But I only used two shelves in the bottom section, which we use for towels. In the open space below the second shelve I have a wicker basket for dirty clothes....See MoreShelf Paper / Shelf Liner Should I use it? Are you?
Comments (44)Rueben mentions crooked cuts. For me, the answer is a T-square, which you can buy where they sell art supplies. The 36" long T-square is the most useful. I just line the "T" part up with the side of the paper, and draw my square line with a sharpie. I just put new cabinets during the remodel of my family home. I got molded (?) glass panels with a striking bamboo design in the upper cabinets. I saw light coming through one cabinet door before they were installed and thought the glass was even more beautiful with light behind it. I had low profile, strip LED lights installed in the top of each cabinet. But when I p ut the supplied wood shelves in, the shelves below were very dark. So I ordered some 3/8" thick plexiglas cut to size. I bought the clear shelf liner with the little grooves. Since it is clear, the light goes right through the shelves and the cabinets and glass look beautiful. I used the rubbery mesh liner for the bottom shelves. I'm having trouble, too. They bunch up and get out of place when I move anything. That's why I got onto this thread--to see if there's a good way to hold the stuff in place....See MoreRev-A-Shelf Appliance Lift Shelf Size
Comments (0)I am looking into using one of these in an island and was curious if anyone knew if the suggested length of 20-1/2" could be shortened. Also, if there is a maximum width for the shelf, or if it is simply a weight limit. I have read over the manufacturer's product info and seem to have missed these items. The set-up I want is to put the lift in the far side of an island and have it come out with the 2 appliances on it facing opposite lengths of the island. This will make the shelf 27-3/4" (2' 3-3/4")....See Moreqam999
