Comments (3)Why not get a mirror in the size you want and have it framed at a reputable framer? They will make sure to mount the correct hanging brackets on the back as part of the framing. We have a large mirror, 6' wide by 4' high when it is fully open, in a heavy wooden casing. There are two 2' wide side panels. To make sure that the mirror didn't take the wall with it, we had a wooden block mounted between the wall studs and screwed 200 lb test hooks into the block to mount the mirror. Comments (4)Do not use wire to hang a mirror. Most mirrors come with the two D rings and usually have instructions on the back to not use wire. You can purchase picture hangers for heavier weight items, like these....See Moreroxan
