Miele W1/T1 Washer Dryer vs Traditional Maytag
Comments (24)Miele is farming some service out to local servicers. I spoke with thr professional sales reps and he said it is extremely hard to retain good servicemen. We had our dishwasher repaired under warranty once. It is a Miele Crystal. The mainboard failed. we had about 4000 hours on it in a couple years. The guy who fixed it was able to tear it down and called miele who walked him through the diagnostic steps. They then sent a main board. Tech came back two weeks later and installed. The delay was more the local shops fault. They only come to our area once a week. We could have had Miele come from chicago, but they charge mileage if uour more than 50 miles from their service center. we are 120 miles away. I wouldnt be too hung up about getting official Miele service. They have always taken care of us one way or another....See MoreMiele W1 /T1 washer/ventless dryer
Comments (2)Question: Is there a way to keep the light on longer in the washer and dryer. It seems to turn off after about 10-20 seconds. I am not familiar with the setting. [Also, I have read every post in the ongoing thread https://www.houzz.com/discussions/5434365/miele-w1-t1-washer-dreyr#n=772 keep in mind these threads get so long they are hard to follow and there are too many different subnets mixed in]....See MoreIs there anywhere to disable "hand iron" on Miele heat pump dryer?
Comments (3)I have the same dryer and as the cycle progresses, it will display the current dryness level of the load once it reaches the minimum dryness level you can set for the load (hand iron>slightly dry>normal>normal plus). I also dry my towels on the extra dry setting and they always feel a little steamy when the cyce is finished but by the time the towels are folded, everything is dry....See MoreMiele heat pump dryer settings change without selection
Comments (4)All lint and plinth filters are routinely cleaned, not merely because we are diligent but because the machine reminds one to clear them. Halting and resetting the selection results in a repetition of the problem. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, verified that the unit is connected to the WiFi and all updates are current. One correction to the original post. The selection changes from 'Normal' to 'Machine Iron' rather than 'Hand Iron'. An earlier problem with this unit was when the selection was changing from 'Normal' to 'Hand Iron' which was apparently corrected with a system update administered by a repair tech....See Moresagoldst
