Thank you, thank you for all the kind words, but I really wasn't fishing for compliments when I posted this thread. LOTS of people who've been e-mailing me have complained that they've e-mailed me several times before and gotten no reply, and one forum member thought maybe she had offended me or something, so I just wanted everybody to know that nobody's offended me or made me mad, well, except the people who run my internet providers, that is. The nice woman who mops my floors every Friday is probably going to be quiting her regular job soon, and she'll be doing more house cleaning. She asked me if I had any more work for her, and I said "yes!" Without going into particulars about our finances, my husband and I are very lucky, and we're going to start taking advantage of it more, spending more money on things that make us happy. Having somebody to clean out my DH's radio room, my garage and my refrigerator would give me more time to devote to my favorite things, and y'all know what that is! I've got a whole lot of little luna moth hatchlings, I'll be getting some polyphemus eggs, hopefully some cecropia and io eggs, and so I'll be busy as can be keeping them fed and their cages clean. I've really been wanting to help restore the big moth populations around here, since they haven't come back naturally. Well, actually, I saw some big frass underneath a big sweetgum tree and underneath the convergence of some tulip poplar and sweetbay trees so it's possible that they're just now beginning to return. I guess the damage from Katrina was so widespread, 2 years isn't long enough for moths to get back to normal. Anyway, the point of this whole thread was to let people know that I'm not offended, I just haven't answered a lot of e-mails because I didn't get most of them, and I've been so busy I forgot to answer some of the ones I DID get. Hi Carol, I preferred to email you but kept getting an error message. First, no big deal. Misunderstandings happen. However, I didn't feel insulted or led on at all. It was more the sharp demurral that you ever meant to issue an invitation. It felt a little off, and although it mostly likely not personal (because we don't know the first thing about one another) it felt personal. That was ridiculous on my part and I am sorry I didn't stop and think. Most of the time we just ignore things like this on this forum, and I wish I had (twice) but honestly, I think my judgment is impaired by two weeks of heat. There's no a.c. in this computer room, I can't open the windows easily and the sweat just pours off me when I'm working on line. This is one of my favorite pastimes and unexpectedly it has turned in something close to torture! I wish you well and look forward to getting to know you online. Fresh start, ok?
