induction cooktop best for 2 large pans?

I've been cooking on my 30" Electrolux induction cooktop for 10 years with just one real complaint. I typically want to use only two burners but I need them to accommodate larger pans.

I was hoping to "upgrade" to a larger cooktop, but I'm having trouble identifying which cooktops will actually solve my problem. I keep seeing these bridge connections, but they seem to be geared towards griddle pans--which I have never used. I would like to fit two 12" pans on the cooktop at the same time.

I thought the Thermador freestyle was going to be my answer, but the literature I saw today say "pans 4-10 inches". The configuration of the Viking looked pretty good, but I can't find how much of each square is actually heated. I know the Bosch is highly recommended, but how does a round pan function on that rectangular section?

Thanks for your thoughts!
