Miele vs Gaggenau Induction flex cooktop.. CONFUSED!

last modified: 6 years ago

I'm trying to figure out how to compare the Gagg and Miele flex induction cooktops. Does anyone know the pros or cons to either? It looks like Miele goes up to 7700 watts and Gagg only 3700, could that be?

They both have a flex zone on each side of a single burner

Gagg has a knob and Miele has a digital screen. I have no idea how hard or easy either is to operate.

Miele is 42 inches wide and Gagg is 36

I'm not fully understanding the wattage differences between them because they don't present it in a clear enough way for me (different burners have different options and boost or no boost??)

The info I found on them is below.

GAGGENAU

I found this on an appliance site and assume it's accurate. I couldn't figure out how to pull up specs on Gaggenau's site.

Cooking zones

  • 2 flex induction cooking areas 7 1/2" x 9"
    (2200 W, with Power boost 3600 W), linked together 15" x 9" (3300 W, with
    Power boost 3600 W).
  • 1 induction cooking zone 9"
    (2200 W, with Power boost 3700 W),
    automatically switches to 10"
    (2600 W, with Power boost 3700 W)
    and to 13" (3300 W, with Power
    boost 3600 W).

If you don't want to click on the link, here is a paste of the info regarding wattage, which is formatted in a confusing way!
