When posting and stuff goes pftd hit the back arrow. Sometimes the post is still there. Alternately before hitting send, highlight and copy to your mouse and hold it there in imagination and then hit send. If all disappears you still have the text hanging on your mouse click to paste into the next message box.

Last weekend the neighbors were discussing using abbreviations when they text their kids. The kids all claimed they didn't know what the moms meant and the moms must have been making up their own abbreviations (which they did admit to doing!). A teacher in the group suggested putting flash card type labels on all sorts of things around the house. Then when Mom texts "empty dw" the kid will know it means dishwasher & can't avoid the task by playing dumb. FWIW (for what it's worth)

I have been posting here for a long time and I still don't know what most of them mean. I'm sorry but I am not going to try and remember them. If I a poster can't take the time to type what they mean, I just back out.

MIL - mother in law FIL - father in law GM - grandma GP - grandpa DH - dear husband (sometimes d@mn husband, depends on tone of post - LOL!) DW - dear wife (sometimes d@mn wife) CP - custodial parent NCP - noncustodial parent CO - court order CS - child support EOW - every other weekend TOM or TOW - the other man (or woman) BF - contextual: boyfriend or bio-father GF - girlfriend BD - usually bio-dad, but occasionally bio-daughter SF - stepfather (occasionally SD is used for stepdad, but to eliminate confusion with stepdaughter, most people use SF)
