OT: Need prayers for Albert!
Comments (23)I just got back home. Thank you Linda, for posting about Albert. Albert was not sick, this happened suddenly. I spoke to him last Saturday, he was telling me about his new deck and the flowerbeds they were putting in. I told him I had stopped by his house but they were not there. I saw what Betty and him had done, his yard was beautiful. He offered to lend me his trailer so I could bring big plumeira plants home from Corpus for a couple of guys on the plumeira forum. but I did not have a hitch on my vehicle. He said he would offer to drive, but his daughter had taken his truck to Belton. He was always thinking of others. He told me he loved to read the fourm, but since he moved down to the coast, was so busy, he did not have time to post. We were talking about the Oct plant swap, he said they had so much fun last year when they came. Barbra...See MoreOT .... Good thoughts & prayers for our Military
Comments (9)Oh Jeanne, how thoughtful of you to think of our son! His unit was deployed to Afghanistan last weekend and it's been very tough for me. Just yesterday we heard that four more brave soldiers had been killed over there and instantly we've leap-frogged into an entirely new kind of life, along with every other parent, family and friend of a service person over there ~ waiting now to find out if our own loved one is ok. If you haven't seen my thread over on the Decorating forum, I'm adding the link below. Last week DH & I won first prize in a local raffle. It was a sports car. We needed to be at a big presentation in the park on Sunday to receive it. This was part of the Blue Star Mothers & Gold Star Mothers event to honor service men and women, and veterans. We ended up donating the car to the Gold Star Mother's building fund, which is an incredibly worthy and much needed thing. You might want to check out the info on it in my (below) thread. Anyhoo, thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers. Lynn "Lynn's Thread on Decorating forum"...See MoreOT: Broken Bones Need Prayers

He called this afternoon thinking he will not have enough pain meds till Wednesday, I told him get through tonight he could call doctor in the monring. I do not think the ER thought it would be 3 days to see doc. But I know Dr. is waiting to see what the swelling is doing and it will be over 72 hours when he goes. I think he is also starting to realize he is gonna go stir crazy while this heals and I warned him it might be longer than 6-8 weeks. He said he will need a hobby then and wanted to learn to sew. lol I will let ya know the update... Nanci...See MoreI need help and prayers from the KT prayer warriors. Please.
Comments (23)Thank you for telling me what I know should have happened long ago. My sister and brother-in-law are both lawyers. We haven't wanted to upset Diane right now because of her health. But, we are going to ask Bob to help us get him out of here.Like I said, I don't want them to take them, I just want to know how to get him out. When Ken was in the hospital back in March because of taking to many pain pills, I asked the nurse case worker how I could get him out. She told me that because he was a relative and that I had let him move in, the only way to get him out was to take him to court. That doesn't seem right, and because of mine and Jim's health issues, I didn't go further. You asked me if he had mental or physical issues that would make him encapable to take care of himself. He somehow graduated from HS, has held jobs, only ones that Jim or my Dad got for him, and is not so much in pain from his back that he can't work. Sears let him go because he told them that he could only come back to work if he could work for two hours and be able to sit for 20 minutes when he needed to. The disability that he is getting is from insurance that he is payin #179. a month. It is not Government disability. As far as mental, he is really a filthy person. He doesn't shower, my children came over and tore up the carpet in his room, and painted his room purple, what he wanted. And his room is filthy already.I put his microwave and toaster oven on the porch because it is filthy and I don't want it in my house.Shortly after he moved in,I found bugs in the house so made him pay for an exterminator. He pays that every month.Sorry for venting, but that is about all I have done since he has been making our life even more miserable lately. He told me he is perfectly happy here, isn't leaving, and I can't make him leave. New Years resolution. He will leave here. We have looked into HUD houses, but they do inspections and you have to keep the place clean. So, if he doesn't and once he is out, he is not coming back. My Jim use to be a locksmith and this will be one happy job for him Thanks again, for listening....See Morelindac92
