what blind type / color?
Comments (1)Not sure how it looks in person, but I like the door without the trim in the pix. Since the black frame of your windows is so wide, I think adding the white is a bit much. Looks like you're going for a B&W movie ambiance so the white window treatments will continue the theme. Personally, I'd punch it up with some citrus or plum/eggplant colored pillows. Looks like more lighting is needed all around....See MoreBifold door - using just one panel to create a swing door?
Comments (7)Yes, you can use half of a bi-fold door as a closet door. You say you have a finished closet opening; does that mean it is already trimmed out? If so, this article can help, and here is a video. These show how to turn a bi-fold door into a French-type door, but the basics of how they attach one of the doors applies to what you want to do. Make sure the door is not too tall for the opening and trim off anything that would drag on the floor. Since you will only be using one door you can add a stop (wood strip about 1" wide by 1/2" deep and the height of the door opening) on the side jamb opposite the hinges and attach the magnetic catch to it instead of overhead....See MoreCan I replace bi-fold louvered doors with solid bi-fold doors?
Comments (4)We had louvered doors on all of our closets and switched them out. There was only one closet that we noticed a ventilation issues and we cut a hole and installed a vent. It's painted the same color as the wall and you can't even tell it's there....See MoreCloset doors - bifold + half of bifold?
Comments (4)We used to have our hampers in the bedroom, but they take up a lot of space in our bedroom's reach in closet (we don't have a walk in and our room isn't huge). Since we have the space in the hallway right outside of our bedroom, I thought we could expand our linen closet and add a laundry section like I had seen in photos online. Because it isn't in a laundry room, I didn't want to leave it open to the hallway and I also didn't like the idea of laundry in with my clean linens, so I thought putting up a wall between them would make sense. Attached is my poor drawing and two ideas I saw online....See Morequasiexpert
