Cajun seafood for an oyster platter: fried oysters with horse radish sauce, cup of cajun crab bisque, their special cole slaw

My son went someplace so it was just me tonight. I had breakfast food, some leftover potatoes with 2 fried eggs and some toast.

Mashed potatoes,peas,corn,carrots and hamburger fried up as patties, a gravy made and all served on bread....hot hamburger it is known as in a restaurant up here...I love this with raw onion chunks and various colored peppers as well.

Fresh dungeness crab, artichokes and a sour dough baguette warmed in the oven. Very much looking forward to dinner tonight!

I'm going to a holiday gathering tonight so have no idea what I will be eating. But since I'm not the one cooking it (catered affair), I know I will enjoy it!!

I have a ham bone in the frig just waiting to be turned into pea soup, so maybe I'll do that tomorrow (thanks, Rhizo!!). And fried oysters are about my most favorite thing ever, so those sound wonderful too but not something I'd make at home.

I picked up a chicken taco salad to split for dinner with a cup of homemade soup.

Lentil soup, and what we call buns....split and topped - buns topped with a mixture of chopped egg, tuna, shredded cheese, relish, black olives, mayo and placed under the broiler til toasted and cheese melts. A family favorite I often make a quantity in advance and freeze. Doesn't sound very good but tastes great!

Bobbi....it sounds sweet?

Tamales. A friend's aunt makes them to sell, and Jody bought four dozen.

Southwest Chicken Salad, thanks to someone's suggestion on my post last week.

DH and I had leftover pork rib roast with homemade fig jam. Yummy.
