eye lashes
Comments (12)I have used careprost for about seven months now. The first few weeks the skin was dry around the eyes but that went away. I have a lot of allergies so I was a bit nervous to try it at first but after reading zillions of reviews I decided to go for it. Except for the brief dry skin thing (keep under eye heavily moisturized) I have had good results. I wouldn't say my lashes are greatly thicker but they are thicker and much longer. At my age they are just right and anymore length or fullness would look ridiculous. I use it on my brows as well because they seemed to be getting sparse, again they are slightly thicker but much longer and I have to trim them up more often. I use a good quality very thin paint brush as my applicator. It took me about six weeks to start seeing a real difference but there were small changes before that, at twelve weeks they were at the peak of how long and thick they were to be. I can't remember the week, maybe around 6 or 7 but I had a few rebel lashes on each eye that did not follow the same curve as the rest of the lashes so I had to use an eyelash curler before mascara....See MoreHave you enhanced your lashes?
Comments (9)I have always had sparse eyelashes and hated it.. and I only wear mascara for special occasions because it irritates my eyes also. I will continue to deal with my deficiency though because I am unwilling to deal with the issues of any means to enhance. I have an allergy to adhesives-- a bandaid or patch will give me hives and insane itches. The Latisse is to have side effects very similar to glaucoma medicine (in fact, I think it is a variation of one of the glaucoma meds)-- and can change your eye color and eyelash color. You may want to try a new eyeliner.. or new eye makeup.. or play up your lips to add drama. I have been using a gel eyeliner from lancome that goes on wet and seems to last well. I also switched to wearing a liquid eye shadow (chanel) in a new color (a reflective pink-brown) that seems to play up my eyes in a subtle way without wanting/needing a mascara. As I remember, I think we have similar coloring. I have medium tone skin with blonde hair (though mine is *cough* chemically enhanced). I feel silly in heavy lashes -- yes, I'd like to have *some* lashes lol.. but I usually just stick to a natural palette and add a little shimmer with the eye shadow mentioned above and a lipstick with a little gloss. Besides, heavy lashes would showcase the dark circles and bags under my eyes!! ;)...See MoreApplying Flase Eyelashes
Comments (23)Smhinnb, maybe that's what I did wrong-I didn't comb them out after getting wet because mine looked good for about a week and then got clumpy and didn't last very long. I also wasn't told to use oil free products. I never made it to the "fill" stage because they started bugging me-especially after my own eyelashes were growing-some of the extensions were growing too, which made then too long, so I had to eventually pull them off, which left me with hardly any of my own lashes. They also started sticking straight out very stiff-like they lost their curl. I did buy a tool to curl them (since you can't use regular eyelash curlers) but couldn't get it to work properly. But, it doesn't sound like I took care of them correctly. I have done Latisse for a couple of years now and love it. I have baby blue grayish eyes and and have never had any side effects. Also, I was told that you use half dose of what was recommended to use on (tiny) bottle and it worked wonderfully, so lasted a lot longer. eta: addt'l info...See MoreLatisse
Comments (38)I've been quite pleased with the length, and now fullness that I've gotten from the Lumigan (generic Latisse), and last week I had my eyelashes tinted, and what a difference! I wake up looking like I have mascara on. In fact, I haven't applied mascara since the tinting was done, and I don't usually leave the house without it. The salon that I went to offered tinting for only $20. They also do eyelash perms and tint for $80, but I'm quite happy with the effect of the tinting alone. I was told that it should last 3 - 4 weeks. I've also seen eyelash tint kits on Amazon, with lots of great reviews, but I'm not sure about doing it myself, though I have been dyeing my eyebrows with Just For Men beard and mustache dye with great success....See MoreBunny
