We have cherry wood floors in the living room, and tile in the entryway. We are now looking to change flooring in the family room, which is on the same level. Entry way leads to family room, which leads to kitchen. We are planning to use lighter color (white oak kind) hardwood in the family room and Tile in the kitchen. Porcelain Tile was our initial choice for family room as well, but since most say Hardwood is better than tile (we're in CA), we are going with lighter color Hardwood. I don't like the red in cherry wood floor so we're not matching the living room cherry wood floors.

Please suggest which hardwood floor goes well with Cherry floors (both rooms on same floor, with entry way tile separating them). Thanks!
