Or do we need a little contrast? A whiter countertop with warmer white paint? Then, do I match paint and tile in tone? Or can I mix shades of cream there too? I'm starting to lean toward a slate-like floor (still porcelain tile, but something that looks organic, like stone). The Brockaway is spendy and trendy, and I imagine 2 faucets are also $$. If you want a utility sink, consider what things you will use the sink for, and see if you can't get a nice sized undermount that will serve your purposes just as well. We put one sink in each bathroom, have never been a fan of double sinks, more to clean, less counter space, and we typically don't have people use the bathroom together except for kids tooth brushing, which takes only a few minutes.

Fresca Mezzo 60 vanities are actually 59" wide and available with and without a sink. The sinks are made of "acrylic resin". I have Fresca vanities with those the acrylic tops. I don't know what the proper cleaning product is but I figure it shouldn't be abrasive -- the material is shiny -- so I use Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Multi-Surface. The Fresca Largo 57 is 56 5/8" wide. decorplanet.com, among others, sells Fresca vanities.

Thank you both Valerie and Denise! I really appreciate you time and help and insights. For the water issue, I think I can add a vent in the ceiling in the room below for the vanity piping which could take care of that issue. Denise, would you be willing to take your layout and shift the 48x60 shower straight down to the bottom RH corner and make it an alcove style with a wall on the top? We have vent piping that goes through the roof in the upper right corner. and then create a cabinet in the space on the upper right corner that extends into the available space ~16". We will lose some floor space, but I think it would be a nice compromise to some of the work arounds. I just tried to do a bit with my snipping tool, so no clue on how it would actually "fit" in the space.
