Christmas cards
Comments (15)Just today, my DH cleared out some file drawers and found about 5 years worth of cards, which we received, that he stuck in the drawer and then forgot. I didn't want to throw them out without going through for any photos or whatever. What fun to find all the photos of kids growing up right before my eyes. I even found one of kids I have absolutely no idea who they are - even with a printed family name on the card! I asked DH and he doesn't recall who they are either. How odd. I'm tempted to keep it just to see if we receive any more from these mystery people or maybe I can show it to other family members to see if they know them. Also amusing, we received the same anniversary card from my in-laws for 3 years running, the same Easter card from my SIL 3 years in a row, and many other duplicates but some aren't dated so they might not have been back to back. But the funniest card is one "For a special brother and sister-in-law and wonderful children". We don't have children so the part is scribbled out with pen. That really cracks me up. My MIL & SIL only ever give relationship specific cards so I guess that year she couldn't find one that was for just a Special Brother and SIL. I was tempted to re-read the xmas letters but decided to just toss them into recycling. I'm sure there are better things I should be doing with that time - like posting rambling thoughts here....See MoreFriends from the past
Comments (2)I think we have all done that in our lives....friends come and go depending on what is happening in our lives at the time. I have some friends from my past, that I still keep in contact with and then there are some who I don't think I would have anything to say to if we "did" run into each other....See MoreChristmas Cards!
Comments (4)Marilyn Sue, I so enjoyed reading your newsletter that you enclosed in your card - I had designs of doing that myself this year but alas, I didn't get it together! I received 4 cards the other day, and it was really funny. 3 of my neighbours were in the lobby at the time and the one gal was looking at my pile of cards and looking back at me - I could just see her thinking, well aren't we the popular one! I got a good chuckle out of the expression on her face. Maybe next year I'll invite her to join us... Suzan J...See MoreThanks JoAnn_FL
Comments (3)I also want to thank JoAnn for the bookmark! That was so thoughtful, and much appreciated. I have gotten several cards--all beautiful. Mine are going to the post office today.......See Morehappy2b…gw
