It would help to see a picture of the window in question and what type of greenery you are planning to use.

I just recently redid the kitchen and don't think I want to put nails into the new window casing. I am either purchasing a rope of fresh evergreens or putting one together myself. Thanks much for you response. I like some of these as well window decorations

I like using the pine roping, on railings and ballusters outdoors. I will also be going in for surgery (mid month), and it would be nice to have some greenery indoors as well. I may just drape more roping over the curtain rod of my living room window.

I have a 6’ long eucalyptus garland on my fireplace mantel. I have a hard time imagining it hung over a window without using nails because it’s fairly heavy. I also sometimes put a garland along the long bureau in my front entry. This year I just replace a painting on the wall with a wreath instead. I like that it’s a nice scent as soon as you come in the front door.

This is so cute, from your link. But how do you suppose the snowflakes are adhered to the window? I tried this with regular tape once, and it was a nightmare to get some of the tape off the window later.

I dab a cheap glue stick onto paper snowflakes to stick them on our windows every year, & they scrape off easily w/ a razor paint scraper when it's time to take 'em down. I use white basket style coffee filters, pressed flat w/ an iron first, to make snowflakes. It's much easier to cut than copy paper.

& Command hooks come in different 'strengths'; the packages show how much weight they can bear.

I use Command hooks with artificial garland which is probably lighter than natural garland. If you do use Command hooks, be very careful when you remove them. I suggest holding the hook down hard with one hand while pulling the tape out as straight as possible with the other hand.

Last weekend I went out and bought a white paint pen for glass. I typed out some large, fancy font words for 'Let is Snow' along with various snowflake designs. I was going to tape them to the outside of the window and then paint the letters/snowflakes in following the outlines. I have never tried this, but love the concept. Unfortunately the pen I purchased is too thick, so I'll have to search for something smaller or something that I can use a brush with. The Michael's staff weren't much help with what would work best....so I need to research it more. Look at these cool windows!
