Wayne and Irene Veal built their home on their daughter and son-in-law’s nearly 5-acre property in Waitoki, New Zealand, which means they get to see their daughter and grandchildren often. “We have an open home approach with our daughter and son-in-law, and we visit, support each other and enjoy each other’s company regularly,” Wayne says. Here, Wayne and his granddaughter feed one of his pet chickens.
Travis Hervey and daughter Ada enjoy one of the outdoor swings at their home in Georgetown, Kentucky. Travis, who works at home as a computer programmer, and his wife, Amanda, transformed the builder-grade home together and now love to host friends and family as often as they can.
